A friends healthy 69 year old father died from it. That's all I know.
I would imagine from the demographic make up and age of the average death, not many posters know of many.

2 of the most arbitrary statements I have ever heard. It's unbelievable that a person who is supposed to be intelligent enough to run a state is whimsically ruining people's livelihoods and using these statements as his justification. It's almost fricking criminal.

The huge backlogs really skew the 14 Day Average figures based on info we have...but here it is anyway (400+ just in BR)

This is why the LDH numbers are shite and cannot be trusted. My parish has been announcing the total number of cases on a daily basis. We have had 146 positive cases, but the LDH site shows 81 and has been about 40+ behind the whole time. Some of these labs are either not reporting, or they are so behind in their reporting, it's skewing the numbers.

I agree for the most part. This guy was always at the playground watching his kids play sports and exercised regular and was not overweight at all.
I guess he could have had a heart issue that the family either didn't let on about or he didn't know about.

They shouldn’t be used for the rolling averages unless you can backdate them. It would be fricked up otherwise because it’s not a true representation of the current spread.

8,530 Active cases based on data provided. Enter assumptions
Recovered data is 4 days old. 14 days from 5/10 is 4/26. New cases: 4/26 - 4/29 = 1,148
7,382 Active cases
1,193 in Hospitals
6,189 Conservative estimate of cases not in hospitals
Obligatory: The 14 day guidelines are given by ldh and based on when the patient tests positive. The information that we have readily available is when the positive test result is known, not when the test was administered. In addition, the date of the onset of symptoms does not matter either.
If you add the new cases from 5/01 through 5/14 (14 days), you get 5,484 cases. 7,751 cases from 4/24 through 5/14 (21 days)

A few of my coworkers have gotten the Rona. All have recovered. I don't know anyone that has died from it.

Agreed. They need to back date it to the date the patient states symptoms started, or the date the test was taken (if the patient does not know or cannot provide the details).
They have a graph with the date of symptoms started on the ldh website, but you cannot see the details by day just the lines. It proves they are tracking this information.
