Per LDH Website

LDH provides one daily update each day at 12PM CT.

The spike in cases has already been attributed to an old backlog of tests. Nothing to see here.

Another backlog of cases/test released?

What's today's number of backlog vs. new cases?

Governor already said big increase In new cases is from old tests just coming in and being formally counted.

Not sure how you can have any faith in the daily changes due to how erratic posting timeline is.

Question for this board

There are 2300 deaths in Louisiana

You know the “6 degrees of Kevin bacon” thing?

How many posters on here either directly know someone (friend, family, business acquaintances, etc) who has died, or know someone who knows someone who has died?

There was a town hall with JBE earlier

.@LouisianaGov says he only has one outstanding decision to make on the phase one before he signs the proclamation this afternoon: Whether bowling alleys will be able to open. #lalege #lagov

@LouisianaGov says the 11 biggest motor vehicle offices in Louisiana will open by Monday, followed by more over the coming weeks. #lalege #lagov

A reader asks how waiters (who are often paid $2.13 an hour) are supposed to make a living with 25% capacity at restaurants. Edwards says restaurants will be able to expand outdoor seating. #lalege #lagov

.@LouisianaGov floats the possibility of shutting down establishments that have seen lots of infections during the reoepning. #lalege #lagov

.@LouisianaGov is doing a town hall with the Advocate. He says the state is reporting 827 new cases today but 609 are from a lab reporting results from as far back as March. #lalege #lagov

Why can't bars reopen in phase one? Edwards says "Because the atmosphere of a bar is such that it is very conducive to the spread of the virus." He says bars with a food permit can operate if they act just like a restaurant (people at socially distanced tables) #lalege #lagov

If this is one lab or company, what the frick have they been doing with their results this whole time?

I sure hope they were at least letting the testees know the results.

I mean people are just going to order drinks at their tables and congregate the only thing different will be a waiter bringing all of the drinks.
