Not actually what the data suggests
Nope, plus the % recovered continues to rise despite mass testing. So cases really are not creeping up at all.
Actually there isnt a single statistic that is creeping up.

Not that it is in these stats but the business shutdowns are now criminal in the impact to regular people.

You're right. I'll fix it in a bit
Looks like you're dividing total cases by today's new tests.

he telling state is that the positive test results are not translating into hospitalization or deaths. This reflects testing on people who are not exhibiting threatening symptoms.
Looks like the warm temps has something to do with that.

Maybe, maybe not.
An easier hypothesis is that the virus is spreading in the non-vulnerable population, which will be good for us all in the long run if these folks develop good immunity.
The virus HAD to spread. There is no way to stop it. The best case was always that we, as a population, develop immunity at some regular rate without too many of us dying, and for those who do get seriously sick, that it not happen all at once.
At least in Louisiana, it looks like we nailed it.

I stopped at Buc-ee's twice the weekend and ate at Lambert's while at the beach. How long do I have to live?

Case numbers are starting to trend back up.
Which for anyone of any intelligence, we knew this would happen.
The thing is, it's not enough of an increase to where our health system can't handle it.
Those numbers are within the range of "we have to learn to live with it" numbers.
Now we will see how JBE responds. If it really is about keeping the curve flattened under capacity, we will go to Phase 2. If all he cares about is the case number, we will stay where we are.
