Deaths still not climbing appreciably.
We’ve weathered the increase in cases and positivity, and now it has been several weeks since hospitalizations started rising significantly. Still no significant bump in deaths.

What she doesn't realize is that her draconian measures are actually going to hurt her city in the long run. New Orleans will be the last major hot spot in Louisiana. Once we get through this spike and things get opened up Orleans Parish will explode one more time.

Just because they seem to recede doesn’t necessarily mean there isn’t lasting immunity to some degree.

My boys have four tests.
Going to a camp that requires testing. Took some Wednesday, got a message today saying that the test needed to be a max 10 days prior to going, so that meant they were tested at 11 days. We did it early because of the rapid test being hard to track down, and we thought we needed results. Found the rapid test today and had it done, again. NEGATIVE
Interested to see what the other ones say when we get them back.
So we are doing our part to pump up them testing numbers

Henderson you can — look at the top of the hospital/vent page and it says “all regions” .. you can from there select which region you’re interested in seeing.

sure, but anecdotally we just had a family friend have his second trip to the hospital with COVID presenting with pneumonia and he had the antibodies back in late April...
it’s just really shitty.

My aunt just tested positive for COVID Wednesday. I called her yesterday to see how she's doing and she said great. She is a spinal surgeon and told me one of her colleagues told her to take a certain prescription. She called it out for herself and said it knocked down the fever and other symptoms within half a day.
Not sure what it is but told me to call if I get sick

3+ weeks of 1,000 or more cases per day and no spike in deaths....weird

Good to see hospitalizations slow down. Predict Edwards doesn’t go backwards and keeps us here for now. Reassess in 2-3 weeks (I believe he says 3 but hoping for 2 weeks).
