This won’t be popular but too bad if other stuff opens and bars don’t by moving to Phase 3.

So screw all of those small businesses owners who are having their lives ruined?

I would say a common sense move would be to let most bars open and some how keep or strongly limit college bars. Neighborhood bars like we have around here can very well operate safely.

I don’t mind select bars being able to show a plan that fits the criteria. But then they also have to abide by it.

136 of 3910 deaths = 3.4% of deaths in Louisiana are aged 40-49

136 of 4600000 people = 0.002% of deaths in Louisiana

That’s exactly why you downvoted. You want bars to be open and not follow the rules. That is why you are closed.

What doesn’t make sense. People in bars get close together, inside and won’t wear masks. Then bitch because they are closed.

Just the way it is

So as it stands today the death rates of people dying WITH Covid 19 is: 3.2%

Over 70 death rate is: 18.5%
60 - 69 death rate is: 5%
50 - 59 death rate is: 2%
40 - 49 death rate is: .5%
30 - 39 death rate is: .3%
29 and under death rate is: Statistically Zero

as of July 29th, the positivity rate is still at 13%
And there is absolutely no way that is correct

It is pretty much statistically impossible for the daily rate to be 13%, but the data dumps to be around 8%

If that was accurate, we would see dates in the past dropping to very low numbers to account for it, which they arent

Something extremely funky is going on with this metric

My guess is that the 13% daily positive rate includes positive people getting retested until they get a negative. The number of test isn't being reduced for duplicates, just the case count. So you have to add back the duplicates to get the positive count per day.

I would love to know how many people have been tested, not the actual number of tests performed.

You’re missing my point. Sunday they posted % of cases for <18 but have not done so today.

One time they posted % of tests received from the previous 7 days. They have yet to do so again.

Basically I’m asking why are they picking and choosing what numbers to release

I know he is going to extend phase 2 some more but after that they can take their percent positive criteria and throw it out the window. Can’t keep changing the rules. This was always supposed to be about the hospitals so that is what it should only be about.

Not that BS stat
