Can still get to herd immunity that way. Herd immunity isn’t 70 percent for this like they first thought.

Ok about HI, how long does it last in a person? I have read that scientist don't think it will last long. IDK whether to believe it or not based on how much BS we are fed about this damn thing. I had the virus and it wasn't terrible but I don't feel like getting it again. And what do we need to reach HI if it isn't 70%

Looking at the data, the daily percent positive is impossible

They are sitting on 100,000s of negative tests in total that they dont go back and assign to a day

That is 100% the only way to tie the numbers back

Does one of these include re-tests that are kicked out and not included in the other? The numbers do not make sense.

This is one of the only explanations that would make sense. If multiple negatives are getting thrown out, but the number of tests aren't being reduced.

Your question doesn’t have to be limited to masks. It should have been asked about moving into phases. What happens when we are so graciously allowed to enter into phase 2 by our benevolent overlord and cases begin to go up again?
Well I just asked about mask since that is the one thing they keep saying will make the virus stop spreading. But yes the bigger question is what is going to happen again when cases go up in general. Idk if the overlord thinks its just going to vanish because of mask or he is just playing us cuz he can do whatever the frick he wants lol.

Throwing out a "multiple negative" would be fricking retarded

If the same person gets tested on 7/1 and 7/15, that needs to be counted both days in order to truly determine the "daily percent positive"

We are like 6 months into this and I have heard of only very rare cases throughout the world where they believe someone has gotten this twice.

I am not talking about another positive test result because somebody still has dead RNA.

I am talking about 2 clinical Coronavirus infections.

At least 6 months sounds good to me.

It is funny they took the negative approach to assuming.,,,,, “oh, the immunity probably doesn’t last long” with no basis for it

And, yet, places like Hong Kong, Japan, and the Philippines have all recently seen "spikes" in their cases despite having over 80% mask wearing populations.

It's almost like they don't work.

(Don't come at me saying they have way less cases than the USA...if masks work, their low amount of cases shouldn't have increased like they did having worn them all the time for months and longer.)

Yeah, it would call into question what the point of monitoring daily percentage is.

Everyone isn’t 100 percent compliant all the time.

And masks help but nobody claims they are 100 percent effective.

Agree. Louisiana should be through their outbreaks now. Smooth sailing in the fall baws.

Yes, the numbers are falling and that’s good, but if everything goes back to normal too quickly just because of a good trend, we’ll be right back to where we are now in a month. Might as well just put up with it for a few more weeks and ride this fricking virus into the ground so when shite goes back to normal, it stays that way. I’d much rather do it this way than keep riding a god damn phase roller coaster.

Like I said I had it once still wouldn't want it again (or twice a year). And because not much is known about it what if the second time you get it is worse?

Detectable antibodies seem to disappear like 3 months after infection, but thankfully our bodies are smart and have other means of defense and decent memories.

Most indicators seem to show it's somewhere in the 10-20% to slow this thing down under normal circumstances, likely a bit higher in densely populated areas.

So you want lockdowns of some sort until everyone in the state has contracted it?

These countries have 80% to over 90% compliance.

If they were any sort of effective you'd see it with that, and you wouldn't have had these places show any sort of "jump."

Edit to add:

Especially since everyone wanted to trump up Japan's success based solely on their mask use.
