Did y'all see the tab where you can look at it by tract in a parish?? The nursing home that I consult with is screwing up their tract for sure.

almost half of the deaths in the parish are from that one nursing home

Oh, I know the numbers don't tell the whole story because of how the tests and deaths are reported. That's just a high number for a smallish parish.

If there are 704 confirmed cases, I'll bet there are actually 10,000+ actual infections in the parish. St. John would be a good subject for an antibody test experiment.

OK y'all help me ... I'm excel stupid BUT did find parish number of confirmed cases on social media.
On April 6 (that's as far as I felt like looking), my parish had 17 confirmed cases -- that was 16 days ago.
Today, April 22, we have 33 confirmed cases.
Only one death and I have no idea how many in hospital/on vents.
SO if I assume that 17 cases from 16 days ago are "recovered", then we have at most 16 active cases, right?

I’m surprised anyone who lives in that area can breathe at all

Can you get info on a CDC recommendation (or may be LDH) that told nursing homes to stop bathing residents
The story is the spa room holds too much moisture & humidity

I can definitely ask ... I know that the covid residents were getting bed baths. I'll inquire. I was told that weights wouldn't be done at this time.
Just texted two coworkers who are there -- will let you know what I Find out.
ETA: NO residents aren't going to the shower/whirlpool anymore.

Just watched a FB "watch party' from the St. James Parish president. Apparently, the Veterans home (in St. John) sent someone to get test kits for the home and 76 out of 83 from there came back positive.

We're 75% positive give or take a % and still waiting on several tests to come back so it's likely it'll go higher.

I don’t get the JBE hate. Dudes done a pretty decent job, not sure what else you tards want.

Pretty decent doesn't cut it in crisis.
His refusal to shelter-in-place the NOLA region in early/mid March...this segues into his continued blanket statements/closures across the state, instead of reviewing data by region.
He's also covering for the nursing home lobby.

It's not hate, dude. It's political opportunism. Never pass up a chance to bash someone from a party different than yours. After following this stuff since it started, I don't believe hardly any of these guys actually care about either the health issues or the economic issues. They want to score points.

I want him to get out of the way. That would be very easy for him to do.
