The LDH has listed all deaths and includes the 17 year old that died of heart failure who happened to have the virus.
Also as of yesterday the avg age at death was 72 for Louisiana.

True, but tbh no one is staying at home. I mean I guess non essential types aren't at work but when I go out (with my n95 on) to shop and whatnot there's barely a difference.
I'm not sure how much the stay at home order works when you give the order, then say right after, "but if you went to go for a stroll, etc, go ahead just social distance."

I have a feeling that all of the data is really lagging behind . Each day they tell us, X amount of people tested, X amount positive . Well yesterday they could have tested 1 day worth of data from last week, but today got 2 days worth done from this week. Not saying that is the case , but there is just so much that we don’t know to be factual.
Deaths- someone could have died Sunday, Wednesday and yesterday. But it all got lumped in today because their results came back in today

You could look at it that way. Actually the new tests added to today's numbers are from samples taken about 7 days ago, and those people could have contracted the infection 7-14 days prior to that. Today's statistics are really back-looking, going back to before the restrictions.

As of when?????? It takes 4-5 days to get results back. Do these numbers being tested include yesterday's tests???? If so the numbers are off.

My dad (59) has tested positive and my mother (60) is preemptive positive. We are still waiting for her test results, but the Dr. said he is certain she has it. My dad has had fever since last Thursday but it has peaked at 100.8. He is doing well other than being lethargic and in pain from a throat ulcer. My mother is coughing and has body aches but has not had fever yet. It is interesting that they have almost completely opposite symptoms. I spent Sunday and Monday with them but I have no symptoms. I am currently on a self quarantine for the next 7 days to ensure I do not spread anything. From everything I have gathered, you are only in trouble if you have preexisting conditions and get the worse form of the virus. My mom has heart trouble and is not the most healthy but she is doing relatively fine. Hopefully it stays that way.

Unless someone else under 18 has died in LA...LDH is still counting the 17 year old with heart failure.

I don't agree. I haven't been in any stores this week, but there are noticeably fewer people on the road. It's never been so easy to get around Baton Rouge.

No I get it, I'm just thinking about the perception of the actual data.
I'm guessing it's a bad thing it's lagged, bc that means there's much more than the numbers are showing

Most of St. Tammany has excellent healthcare. Mandeville definitely does. I wouldn't recommend North Oaks in Tangi though that place is fricking awful. They're more likely to let you sit in the bed and die than heal you so they can drain the insurance as much as possible.
