119 deaths. Italy had 107 deaths on Day 19. A state of 4.5 million still trending higher than a country of 60 million.

Holy frick. That's... not good

That's a pretty substantial jump in deaths.

Smaller than expected jump in cases.

I don't know how to interpret this.

We are getting a larger sample size (ie. more accurate) and the death rate is increasing.

US is every three days, Louisiana is every 2 days (roughly)

Does tested mean the test result has come back? Or just tested awaiting results.

tested means result is already back. So this batch includes less tests. And a higher % pos from those tests than yesterday.

No matter how you slice it, this is concerning.

I wonder how much the iPhone/ smart phone adoption has given rise to these types of spreads in the last 15 years. Think of how often your hand is on your phone and your phone is up against your face/mouth.

I know phone usage isn’t a real new thing, but compared to outbreaks in the 70s, 80s and 90s the smart phone has to spread infection more.
