Positive cases will rise naturally as testing continues. But deaths will "lag" behind the testing. You don't get tested today and die .. it's a "build up" for lack of better wording.

Even the deaths are skewed. They aren’t counting based on cause of death. Just whether or not the patient had the virus when they died.

Agreed, most of these stats don’t really mean as much until we establish a baseline. And we need more testing to do that.

Fwiw the large number of people tested at the cajundome initially are still waiting on results.
Friends dad is in the hospital on oxygen still waiting on those results, they just tested him again since for whatever reason those results haven't come back yet

But at least in Louisiana "recovered" per the own "state doctor guy" said isn't tracked for all cases (those sent home to quarantine) or well defined.

Yeah, cause that's not gonna skew things.
I'm assuming that's not happening alot and/or when/if it does, they are filtering those out of the stats.

What is crazy is that at this point, only .05% of the state's population has tested positive, yet it feels like so many more.

Isn't it safe to say that most people testing positive today contracted this 7-10 days ago? Meaning we are not yet seeing the benefit of all this "staying at home"?
We're also only testing people with extreme symptoms so that number of positives is skewed as well.

He's 60 and his wife is at home with symptoms as well, the family is not taking it very well
