Most women, if they are faithful, interested in raising a family, and have domestic skills, can usually find a partner in their physical attractiveness range that would be thrilled to find such a person.

and it also worked for a while. For whatever reason the third time it worked out.
That's great that it did work out for y'all. Most people quit after one try. It's great that you both actually found a counselor that you could trust, confide in and take advice from.
For traditional counseling, the "save" percentage is somewhere less than 30 % of all couples. Scary, when you think about it.

Don’t want to do any dating sites now, that’s just ammo for the enemy. It’s pretty mutual and civil at this point. Considering a mediator. Been a long time coming, not cheating or anything, something that has been held together by duct tape and bandaids for years. Cant live miserable the rest of your life. I don’t want to get all in your business (actually, yes I do), but based on the bolded part above, this sounds salvageable IMO.
Have y’all tried counseling? Like others have said, sometimes it takes a few tries (it took two for us, with two different counselors). Divorce might look like an escape hatch but it’s almost never easy and often it’s pretty damn miserable. Not saying that fixing a broken marriage is easy, but it’s definitly worth a shot.

It was a good run baw...If you were smart for the last 6 months you have been "protecting yourself financially".
If you got kids its gonna hurt like a sumbitch so my advice:
play more golf, grow a beard, get into the gym, drink more beer, take more fishing trips, travel more, every now and again slay some easy poon just to keep yourself honest but no relationships..its too early. Sounds cliché and kinda gay but work on yourself baw. Best of luck because I was there.

I see more and more women that seem to marry below their attractiveness range. What’s the explanation here? Get the whoring around out of their system in their 20s and marry the safe guy who they know won’t cheat?

If they're in their early 30's or later, absolutely. Though it's more about resource extraction than concerns about fidelity.
