SA lifting cost are some of the lowest in the world. However the price and production needed to balance the countries budget and pay for all the gov assistance is very high.

Saudi Arabia is about to open the spigots to regain market share. This impact prices for crude oil. Expect more oil from Canada (cheaper to produce than US) and drilling here to all but cease.
This is what SA did last time DJT was in office. Most of the people on this board celebrated the cheap foreign oil as proof on US Energy Independence.

Don’t understand why you’re so happy. While I hate being gouged - I also hate what less drilling from US companies brings - hard times to Houston and the energy sector as a whole. And this includes Louisiana. I’d rather not rely on untrustworthy middle eastern countries and get our oil right here. You don’t like American companies making money but would rather those Saudi princes?
I too would rather pay a bit more at the pump than be dependent upon a country that basically hates us. For whatever reason everyone gobbled up the BS that cheap oil from SA was good for the USA 7 years ago.
I’d argue our economy is better when our energy sector is healthy.
The Trump family made billions off of SA destroying our energy sector last time. No reason to think it won’t happen again.

Canada may hold the cards on this. They are pissed and looking for other options than us. Many think we can survive on our own, and we can, but we may find out before this shitshow is over.

Yeah but sa can't do that for long. Subsidizing everything for the peasants comes from oil profits

We should never pay more than $2 for a gallon of gas.EVER. The big oil will still make tons of money.

And just like that, EV’s disappeared!

If this means we can see sub$2/gallon gas prices then bring it the frick on.

That has always been the case with the oil business. Even if you slapped a tariff, it still can costs less to drill for it in the Middle East, ship it on a massive oil tanker through hostile waters and travel all the way around Africa, across the Atlantic and eventually arrive in the Gulf of America to be unloaded at LOOP’s facility off the Louisiana coast.

Which will mean excessive amounts of oil on the markets that will lower prices. Congrats on being retarded

ADNOC has been executing a huge drilling program since 2023. They should have a big increase in production coming online.
