Price to get a barrel out of west Texas averages 54 dollars
This is high unless this includes minimum profit margins to produce.
Producers would be pulling back if the AVERAGE was over $50. Sure there are fields that are in this range but it’s not the average for all of west Texas.

Lower fuel prices is a good thing for the average American.

I just paid $2.49 - I remember the exact same gas station by my house was 4.79 not too long ago
So that’s a start
So that’s a start

Saudi’s costs are insanely expensive? This is news to me
There’s a difference between the word I used “inexpensive” and what your brain processed reading my post i.e. expensive.
I am occasionally guilty of the same error.

Okay. I have an EV. All you need for those is an electric plug.

If gas prices decrease and stay low, why should we care where it is coming from? It will just make what we have more valuable in the future.

You’re an idiot!
I am an expert on this subject you clown!
My businesses & past business are intertwined with OPEC & domestic production.
In late 2014-15, OPEC learned that the USA fracking industry gained “directional drilling tech” that brought down our lifting costs by $40-50 dollars per barrel.
Thus, killing their tactic to flood the markets with cheap oil because their entire countries economies and populations are subsidized by oil.
So the true “lifting cost” to extract the oil and bring to market has to account for the public subsidies, therefor raising their $PPB
Therefor, OPEC doesn’t carry the hammer like they used to.
There are many plays in the USA that can sustain OPEC’s tactics.
Of course, it could hurt the smaller drilling companies etc…. But OPEC cannot sustain long term super cheap oil, their economies aren’t as diverse as ours. Although, they have been diversifying investments into different sectors which is smart by them.
we will be ok in the long run!
So come up with another “gotcha” you fricking moron!
