Do you realize that all the major oil producers of the world collude together to keep oil price at a steady rate to mutually ensure they all get wildly rich?
That would be OPEC controlled by the Saudi's who have insanely inexpensive production costs.
Exxon, Shell, Chevron, BP etc are not part of OPEC, admittedly benefiting from some OPEC's policies that increase revenue, but largely ignore OPEC's long term predictions.
OPEC plans are largely political, not financially sound in the long term. Trust the Saudi's?

This will kill marginal projects/drilling. Think places like Venezuela, North Sea, etc… places like the Permian/Guyana/etc… will continue to roll. SA doesn’t have the same power they had 20 years ago.

Its all simple economics.
We will just have to sell our barrels below cost and make up for it on volume.
Going to have to have a bigger truck though.....

Saudi Arabia will increase its oil production capacity from 2025 to 2027, before going back to the current level of 12.3 million barrels per day in 2028
lol
so for 3 years they will produce a little more then go back?
And this will end oil drilling in the US as we know it?
quote:
“We adjusted the production capacity from 13 million barrels per day to 12 million bpd. However, in 2025, we will have an incremental increase. We will have a bigger incremental increase in 2026 and 2027. And then we will go back to our 12.3 million bpd production in 2028,” said the energy minister.

Saudi Arabia to ramp up oil production capacity in the next 3 years - energy minister
This post is 10 months old. I know drilling isn’t blowing and going, but it’s certainly not stopped.

Gas prices in Farragut, TN were 2.59 in December, they're currently 2.89.

As you realize .. he is repeating misinformation
Price to get a barrel out of west Texas averages 54 dollars
“Saudi Arabia's cost to produce a barrel of oil is exceptionally low, typically around $2.8-$10 per barrel, significantly lower than many other oil-producing nations, primarily due to its vast and easily accessible oil fields”

Sure, it's lower.
But that's all they have and they need to sell it a much higher price to support their lazy, ignorant populace .
Otherwise, they'd revert back to nothing.
