Longshot - German Shepherd on I 10 E near Bay St. Louis

Poor thing in bad shape on side of eastbound 2 miles west of Exit 13. I absolutely could not stop.
If, in the longest of long shots, anybody here is nearby and could maybe lend a hand, I would pay for everything and adopt.

Why couldnt you stop? I know what you mean though. I was traveling with my husky mix and dying pitbull in December coming to Louisiana from Colorado in a packed out vehicle. Saw a malnourished puppy on the side of the highway in Arkansas and wanted to stop and pick it up so bad. No room at all. I still feel bad thinking about it. Wish I would have given it a home

I have a German Shepherd at home that just turned 10. She is an incredible dog, but her time is coming to visit the dog house in the sky. Her back legs are starting to give out on her.

People that dump dogs are right below pedophiles and rapists imo. I had a sweet dog come into my driveway Monday. It was pushing 100 degrees, so i gave it some water. I come back a few hours later and he's still sitting on my porch, so I gave him a bath and put him in a crate. I don't really want to keep him, as I already have a Great Dane and not looking for another pet, but I'm having a hard time rehoming him, so I'm not really sure what else to do .

Thank you for being a good human. Looks like the dog chose you for good reason. If you can’t keep, maybe a friend or coworker will consider. It’s so hard right now with shelters and rescues stuffed full. One think you can do is take to any vet to be scanned for a microchip just in case. It’s free to have scanned.

I did that. He was chipped. The girl that was listed on the chip called me and told me that she had to rehome him back in March and that she couldn't get in touch with that owner. It wouldn't surprise me is she made all that up and it was her that did this, as she doesnt live but a few minutes from me. He wasn't malnourished, so he wasn't on the road for long.
