Long Beach port workers apparently are to go on strike tonight

No news source yet - this is coming through my work business partners. I work in bulk product inbound logistics and manage the west coast region for a very large retailer. Apparently the port workers are fed up with the pointless 24/7 operation and vax mandates. So the backlog of container ships in the port... is going to get much bigger.
Let's go Brandon! Great job buddy!

Seattle, Oakland, Mobile, Louisiana, Houston, and San Diego will benefit from any shut down.

Can we change "let's go brandon" back to "frick Joe Biden?"

We need to be less reliant on imports. Sucks that we have to go through this, but hopefully a silver lining is that we may see more in-sourcing.

Need to start moving manufacturing to this side of the Pacific. The less we buy from the Reich the better.

If Long Beach is striking, wouldn’t Los Angeles join them? Their union hall’s are probably down the street from one another.

The regressives are dug in like ticks in opposition to anything that could be construed as “America first”.
That would be too Trumpy.

Not gonna happen. You see more containers go through LA/Long Beach than quite a few other ports combined. It's like saying "if your nose is stuffed up try breathing through your ears".
What really scares me is that this is all a bit on purpose, and Joe/Chlamydia come up with a solution about two months before the 2024 election. "Look we saved you!"
