Whoever suggested that has never played football. A lot of these kids have been sitting around the house doing nothing all summer. Heat strokes will be more of a problem than covid.

Serious question, who is enforcing this? The police sure as hell aren't.

What a gigantic pussy you are that you couldn’t handle a mask on your face for two whole minutes

This is false. HS teams have been practicing in Orleans Parish for weeks with a mask mandate. They wear them when they arrive and get their temperature checked, then they take them off when they exercise and practice. There are lots of better things for y'all to make a big deal about, really.

I guess just pull it down so it isn’t covering your mouth/nose and pull it back up if any of the red tape checkers come around. Such bs

I told you guys this was going to happen. Many told me: "You are making stuff up, the government would never require masks outdoors"

The next step is requiring face masks inside your own home. Quote me.

As a parent of kids that went through summer workouts during their high school days, I hope not.

Also, the locker room is NOT open to them per the school info given.

Yes the school posted it — it’s “required” per the info from the school.

What happens if games are played? Bring your own hydration — let’s see how that goes on a sideline.

My son plays HS football. They are required to bring a mask to wear walking into the gym. Once in, they are REQUIRED to take it off.

They are not allowed to wear one outside. I hate the mask thing; but this thread is absurd.

And yes he packs three big Gatorade squirt bottles of water/ day.

They’ll post it as required because they have to. But they won’t enforce it

I'm hoping that this is indeed the case.

Yep.
Always.
Heat kills multiple HS and college players every single year.

But,

"Stop the Spread" nonsense wins out because it's the new hashtag/slogan.

It is not false -- it is posted by the school. That said, is it being enforced? I hope not.

Also, I saw a sign on a local restaurant that said, "if dining in, must wear a mask at all times" - the brilliant minds of the OT are gonna have to explain that one to me

You take it off when you sit at your table. If you need to get up to walk through the restaurant for any reason you have to put it back on.

Show us this post, blur out the school if you want

I think you are over exaggerating

Also....makes sense they have to bring their own hydration. Don’t want them potentially sharing anything right now. Easier for the school to just have students bring their own stuff than worry about possible contamination.

so you hold your breath while sitting? never sneeze or cough? your air particles circulate all through the room, dont believe me? fart even a small amount and see if someone smells it 30 feet away

this really is all a big joke

He’s speaking half truths. They are required to wear one walking into the gym to lift weights. They, then, take them off when exercising (weights, agility, running plays, etc.)

They ARE required to bring a shitload of water with them each day.

My HS football player is wearing a mask, and they are working outdoors, however, during an exercise, they are not required to wear the mask, only in between.

Which begs the question.... what in the frick is the point of wearing it at all if they’re constantly taking it off. Jesus this whole thing is ridiculous.
