Some of them are legit. You've just got to sort through the crap ones to find the good stuff.

I actually complained to Stouffers about them putting broccoli stalks in their chicken, broccoli, fettuccine. They sent me a coupon and it actually seemed like they switched back to the good part of broccoli

I understand this completely. Cooking is so much more fun if shared. And it just feels like a waste if no one else there to enjoy it, like decorating a tree no one else will see.

I cook for myself all the time. Mostly breakfast. I like half a dozen eggs and a pound of bacon.

there's a great deal of joy/benefit to be found in cooking a meal, whether for yourself or any other number/person ...

unless you are desperate and it's free, there's no reason to eat a frozen dinner of any kind ... ever ...

my fiancée is allergic to tomatoes so when she's gone, I cook myself a big pot of spaghetti and bring it to the couch with me.

Sometimes I'll bake a 5-pack of chicken breasts at a time and put the extra 4 in a tupperware container. I'll eat them throughout the week along with a freezer bag of raw microwave steamed vegetables on the plate each time. Healthy, simple, quick, a good way to lose some lbs and just eating better than the crap I tend to usually eat.

I'll also make a pot of taco soup and spend a few days finishing the entire pot. Also cheap and easy. The worst part is chopping a whole onion.

Other than that, I cook for get togethers at the house, or when I have a lady over for dinner.

there's also no reason to have to do dishes unnecessarily

most grocery stores have prepared meals, its usually one of those & snacks for me. If I've got more food than I can fit in a hand basket, I'm doing it wrong.

If I have a lady friend over I'll cook her something nice, other than that the only time will be if I get chicken breasts or some meat and I cook enough to bring to work for a few days. I also make a lot of pizzas

I find it less than fulfilling to prepare a decent meal for just myself when for so long I took joy in cooking for me and my family. I'll usually just eat a sammich or heat up a jar of soup when I'm by myself.

You don't pay attention to my crock pot delights? Very easy and last all week. Can freeze some if you get tired of it. Perfect for bachelors.

reminds me, I'll have to make moms puerto rican chicken
boneless chicken strips
apple cider vinegar
pure virgin olive oil
black pepper
garlic
oregano
himalayan pink salt
marinade overnight...pan fry in some butter oil combo, and serve

usually tender enuf to cut with a fork, and flavor to blow you away

Yes I cook meals for myself. I usually do big batches of something so I can have leftovers for a few days, which helps cut down on the labor.

Not really.

Usually just a a sandwich, cereal, or oatmeal.

When I do cook( a pasta dish mostly) it usually lasts me 3-4 days

I've always enjoyed cooking so when my wife and I split I continued cooking good meals that I would look forward to eating and also would cheer me up some as I got used to my new situation.

She was never much of a cook so it want like I had to learn anything. A lot of times I'd cook a large meal on Sunday and just portion it out for most of the week. A large roast in the crock pot, a pot of beans, and a pot of smothered cabbage would last me until I was sick of eating it.

My GF enjoys cooking and it's weird for me to have a partner who now makes me meals.

I typically cook twice per week and eat that for four days...other three days I pick something up on the way home from work or eat a frozen dinner (Marie calendars or zatarans).

I cook for myself. Nothing fancy, enough to feed myself.

ETA: I eat out for lunch but not dinner.
