At least it was a pencil, bet you have never heard of anyone surviving getting stabbed by a typewriter.

It's a very small town.

IIRC, there were two HS in Point Coupee. Livonia and PC Central. The town of Livonia has a 90+% white population. PC Central HS had a predominantly black student population. When PC Central was closed about 10 years ago the student body was merged with Livonia HS

Looks like there only one public high school in that whole parish.

Livonia High School in Livonia, Louisiana has a total student population of approximately 978 students

Everyone who can afford it goes to the private school.

Catholic High School of Pointe Coupee has a total enrollment of 305 students. The school has a student-teacher ratio of 12 to 1.
The school serves students in grades PK3-12. In the 2013-2014 school year, the student population was composed of: 84.9% White, 13.1% Black, 1.6% Hispanic, and 0.4% Asian/Pacific Islander.

Feels like we had this exact same thread last year in Livonia maybe not a stabbing but a big fight where cops were involved

emotions run high when discussing the summer reading list. You can offend the youth easily if you disrespect Chaucer or Tolkien.

Most probably go to STEM magnet for a decent (not great) public school.

Catholic of PC in New Roads is the best school in that parish but it’s about $8k a year per kid. Some Livonia parents sent their kids there.

You are probably starting to see why Pointe Coupee’s population is sort of stagnant and declining outside of the immediate False River area. The options are an old private Catholic school, a magnet school, or….Livonia. And Livonia is just not a real option.

There was definitely a stabbing last year at Livonia High School.

If you live in Pointe Coupee.....try to send your kids to STEM or find the money to pay for Catholic High.

Imagine learning in this type of environment, much less being a teacher or administrator

White schools. There's no way I'd ever send my kid to a majority thug school. Call me racist, don't care. Not dealing with annoying people.

They make a huge deal about nooses, but if culture fricked with my kids, you best believe I'd be on the front page of the news for hanging the culprit.

Nothing against black people. Thug, culture, N-word folk though... frick those people.

Meh, I got stabbed in the hand with a pencil in 1978 at Park Ridge Elementary, after I pulled Dieterich’s chair and he hit the floor. They didn’t even call the principal on that. Just separated us. Kids these days are soft. I had visible pencil lead in my palm for 20 years.
