he sure doesn't strike me as a guy who would get into a shootout with feds.....strange story

Got pretty good sources on this, so believe me when I say that this guy lived a double life to the fullest extent one could.

He was taking the guns seized by security at the airport home, stockpiling them, and selling them on the black market to some very bad people. Same with drugs. He was using flights out of the airport to move those things throughout the country.

He was also allowing certain individuals through security without being checked, for some hefty amounts of money. It's believed they were moving large amounts of drugs and guns through security and paying him - and a couple others - off in the process.

This was not some good, innocent dude. The ATF was actually doing their legit job in this instance. He was not firing on LEO out of self defense because they caught him in bed asleep, he was going down in a gunfight.

so it was this guy

and i'd like to say i called it on page 2

selling seized firearms from the airport given his position was the most plausible theory.

These assholes couldve sent two agents to follow him home from work and confront him in his driveway. Or get him as he was leaving for work. Kicking in the door at 6 am when you don't have to is stupid and dangerous. If someone kicks in my door at 6 am, bullets are going to fly. Why the frick wouldn't they try to avoid that when they 100% knew they could apprehend him other ways?

Thanks for the insight. It never ceases to amaze me how for everything big happening in our country there is a poster in that area and they have good insights. Pretty cool thing about this board its why I like it. Even in weather threads. Always someone in or close to any bad weather path to give us the scoop.

It’s honestly better than MSM and I say that with meaning. I don’t trust any normal media sources all of them have been compromised.

If they were already watching this guy (clearly they were) and given he was a pillar of the community, they couldn't just approach him at work?

What's the fun in that?

These types of warrants are supposed to be issued in only specific circumstances. One is preservation of evidence. You don’t want to give suspects the opportunity to flush drugs, or start shredding documents and throwing them in the fireplace while law enforcement is standing outside waiting for someone to answer the door. It would be hard for this guy to flush firearms, especially if they arrested him away from his home.

Another requirement is safety of the authorities while executing the warrant. This guy had a job and responsibilities. He wasn’t holed up in a safe house hiding from authorities. They knew his schedule and could have caught him by surprise at any number of other locations or times.

That’s interesting.

Charleston International Airport isn’t a large airport, but it services approximately 3 times the number of passengers Clinton International does.

Security certainly intercepts a handgun, knife, or loose bullets from time to time, but nowhere near a quantity that could be considered a volume enough to stockpile and sell to very bad people.

I’d assume they have TSA there, if he was smuggling drugs, thugs, and weapons he’d have to bypass them in favor of private jets.

Doesn’t smell right, I bet someone was on the trail of a story and someone influential made sure he was the fall guy.

Prez Bush Sr called the ATF jack booted thugs.

I liked him and his son.
