My kid plays. He plays AA. He’s not great. He’s ok and getting better but he’s having a lot more fun than he would than what our local LL offers

How old is he?
Why do you that it’s more fun?
How do you know that?

Thankfully I played Dixie Youth baseball.

You wouldn't believe the type of kids Little League was letting play.

It’s a boring game, and parents etc are out of control but it could be worse it it could be soccer

But it's not. Same moms, less dads and none of the parents know enough to critique my volunteer arse. It's the pinnacle of youth sports.

It's a shame little Paxton, Nixon, and Dylan will never be able to get their team's asses whipped at Millerville/Squires.

Best not bring those participation "rings" round those parts if you don't want to get laughed out the park.

I’ve noticed that it is usually a great group of kids that are playing soccer. There are always a couple knuckleheads but they get shut down quickly.

Yeah, the beta kids usually don't stir up much trouble and are easy to shut down.

Try youth wrestling. WHEW! A lot of pumped up testerone parents there. I have a small kid that I will steer away from that arena. I used to coach them. Unfortunately for me, not worth it anymore.

Soccer is the best youth sport…an athletic kid could start any sport in Jr High, after competing at a high level in soccer, and make the high school team…baseball, basketball, football, track, tennis, swimming…literally every kid would better off playing soccer from 7 or 8 onto Jr High.

Does it say how tall they were? I wonder if they also played in other tournament affiliations like Perfect Game?

it ain’t just a “white” thing. My son plays balls and every tournament there are numerous black & hispanic moms/dads lined the fences to cheer their kid on.

y question is why are there more kids involved in baseball and soccer now than in any previous generation ?

My boy loves soccer. He is on a select team; he wants nothing to do with baseball or basketball. Those two sports have really fricked up on marketing to young, suburban white kids. The only other sport he has interest in playing is football and he’s too young for that right now (7).

I miss the Jaycees summer ball in Bordelonville. Those were the days in 80's!
It's just a "who's who" thing anymore.

It became about the parents ego and identities and not about the kids.
When an insecure parent lives vicariously through their children, bad things happen.

So according to the board… kids spend way too much time inside and playing stupid games like fortnite

But also, according to this board, youth baseball, soccer, wrestling, football, basketball, and probably even the Boy Scouts suck too

Y’all also bitch and complain about kids on ATVs and golf carts (some of these complaints are legit safety concerns, I get that)

Y’all pretty much have everything covered

So what the frick do y’all want kids to do? Sign up for tigerdroppings??
