Interstate numbers are even going east/west and odd going north/south.
Also, the interstate number is in direct correlation to the percentage of land mass to its north/south or east/west.
For example, if you’re traveling I-10, 90% of the land mass of the US is north of you and 10% is south of you.
If you’re driving on I-95 on the east coast, 5% of the land mass is to the east of you and 95% is to the west of you.
And so on, with each number…

The word ‘GIMP’ like in Pulp Fiction stands for “Guy In Mask Permanently”… maybe not obvious, but def is little-known, at least it was not known to me for a long time .

Channel locks and xerox are the brand names and not the name of the devices.

I knew the odd/even part and to an extent their positions within the US, although was never sure why they got the exact numbers that they did. Cool info.

Tostitos - the 2nd and 3rd Ts are two people dunking a chip into salsa
FedEx - arrow from e to x, believed to mean it's quick and precise with deliveries (although I've experienced otherwise)
Amazon - A to Z representing its wide range of products (I believe that it was originally meant for when they were heavy on books)
Baskin Robbins - "31" is highlighted for their 31 flavors
7-Eleven - lowercase "n" at the end because in the 60s, it was deemed "too aggressive" being in all caps
Pinterest - "P" is for a pin

Out of all the hit songs that Barry Manilow had- one of the very few that he did not write himself was……….. ‘I Write the Songs .’

That doesn't work for I-55.

I'm probably the only idiot here that didn't know this until he was 40, but "Arby's" is from a phonetic pronunciation of "R. B." which makes so much sense because they sell roast beef. Except "R. B." actually comes from "Raffel brothers" which makes just as much sense, but is actually less interesting.

The word short becomes shorter when you add two letters to it.

Also, with 3 digit interstates, the last 2 digits represent the parent interstate and the first number tells you whether it will intersect with the parent Interstate again. If the first number is even, it will intersect with the parent again, odd means it spurs off and will not intersect again.
3 digit interstates can be used more than once, but not in the same State. There are 7 I-270’s

False. The song was inspired by him driving through Maryland.
