I realize both are incredibly grueling and the world couldn't go round without either. They are also both so far above my head as far as course work that I can barely comprehend it.
With that said, I'd probably give the nod to a guy who can operate on and save a human brain over the guy who can build a bridge.

Did you even have to take a multivariate calculus class or cal 3 some other schools call it. Because UT system doesn't even require it for Civil Majors. Hell I don't even think they have to take a Physics 2 class.
It's whatever though. Whatever makes you sleep at night.

Yes, I had to take cal 3.

Assuming you have your FE. I'll let it slide. Lol

I said they were CS majors, not grads. Engineers and even surgeons are largely doing their jobs using technology these days. Guess who develops that technology? Dumbasses like myself

Seriously though, I'm a senior, and the grammar and spelling that some of my classmates have is on a fifth grade level. They give me their portion of group projects to go over, and then get pissed when I have to completely rewrite what they gave me. 2+2 =/= Applebee's
You said you're in engineering? Not surprising at all. I used to work directly for the Chair of the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at LSU and besides running the website and writing the articles to be sent out, a huge portion of my job was to edit/proofread (basically rewrite) letters and press releases for professors/staff in the department. They'd even send me the letters of recommendation they were writing for students.
My degree was absolutely "easy" to me (mainly because I completely lack the skills to do anything heavily math-related), but I'll never agree that proper grammar isn't an important skill to possess in general life. I'm glad there are people who suck at it, though. That is what allows liberal arts graduates to be hired at engineering (and related) firms to be their PR/marketing people.

you are a lawyer right? that would be my #2, after physics, because law school whole set up seems difficult as hell... having only one test per semester and shite... then being on probation or let go from the program if you are in the bottom whatever percentage of the class... yeah, frick that shite...

I agree for the most part, but I think you should emphasize the difference a REAL engineering degree and not a watered down BS degree that's equivalent to liberal arts and general studies.
For example, mechanical, civil, chemical, biological, and industrial engineering are legitimate engineering degrees.
Electrical and computer engineering are glorified electricians and IT specialists.
They have this packaging engineer program at Michigan State that I laughed when I heard about it a long time ago. Joke is on me. Almost every one of these frickers gets a great job, and I don't think it's anywhere in the ballpark of difficulty of your traditional engineering degrees.

That's not really how it works anymore. At least at LSU. The attrition rate is really really low.

really? well, i know when i was in pharmacy school, the dude that lived in the apt. next to me was at Tulane Law and he was telling me how like the bottom 10% or some shite of the class would be basically let go, each semester, regardless of which year you were in.... i remember thinking, if i got to my 4th year of pharmacy school and ended up not doing good enough and landing in that 10% and they told me i was out of the program, it was gonna be some shite down at the pharmacy school that day.....

You have particular insight into at least a bit of what I do (PhD in Medicinal Chemistry). In your PharmD educated bias, where would you rank me?
