I would also add BSN. Shitty work for low pay.
Depending on where you live....nurses can make decent money.
I saw nursing mentioned earlier in this thread. Even as a nurse....I wouldn't put nursing in the top 5 degrees respected the most. Getting your BSN isn't THAT difficult compared to some other degrees mentioned in this thread.

I could never do nursing for various reasons., and respect the hell out of those who can. But I do know a few girls who weren't in AP or honors classes in high school, who made very average grades/ACT score, and who didn't get into LSU .... that recently received their BSN.
Is it easier than I expected? I always assumed it was really hard, but these girls are not immensely bright people. Not stupid, just.. normal. Don't get me wrong - they often talked about how much work it was, so I'm sure it was no walk in the park. Guess I'm just surprised they could do it at all.

I'm surprised Engineering hasn't been mentioned 578237 times in this thread.

Respect science degrees the most. shite pay for some relatively challenging material.
Engineers are obviously intelligent but can be so fricking frustrating
Respect the least.. business and criminal justice.

I didn't think it was a secret that civil is the lowest paid engineer

Nursing is about time management and how you handle stress/drama. Material isn't that difficult but the volume is crazy

1. Engineering (extremely difficult, courses include material that applies everything from calculus, physics, differential equations, chemistry, biology, geology, economics) 2. Medicine & Dentistry (pound for pound material not as difficult as engineering but extremely hard to get into these programs, a lot more time put into it than engineering but more memorization)
Memorization? Medicine is about treating LIVING tissue and how various systems will interact with each other when one system is stressed. And all patients will not react in the same way to the same treatment. It is so much more than memorization. There is also an extreme dependence on hand skills to make it through, dealing with a level of accuracy down to microns.
Numbers always react in the same way. If they don't, you forgot to carry the 1.
ETA: Engineering was my fallback plan since I was in the 99.5 percentile in math. MIT would have welcomed me with open arms. But in the end the 32 hour work week for twice the money was too attractive.

It is a lot of material to learn. But you can easily go to nursing school and still work. It's not like medical school where you can't have a job while in school cause school takes up that much of your time.
I'm doing online school right now (while still working full time) to finally get my BSN after only having a nursing diploma for 15 years. I have straight As so far. Even just got a letter saying I made President's List at my college.

Agreed....to an extent. It's what you can do after, like nurse practitioner

yeah, but how are your bow staff skills?

Theres a reason why they talk about the difficulty and you dont hear other majors do it. Simply because it is fricking hard.
The reason it's perceived as hard is that it doesn't attract the highest tier of students. The top handful of graduates in my high school class went : stockbroker, dentist, dentist, MD, MD, and Chemistry PhD.
I can't think of a single top guy who went engineering. The only engineer I can think of wasn't even in honors and was at best a B student. He is very successful, though.

No. It means that I was running betting cards to all of the wannabe gamblers that I knew and I slayed as much poon as I could.

Just met a woman that went through dental school and graduated. It was after graduating that she starts developing a severe allergy to acrylic. Got very sick....so bye, bye dreams of ever becoming a dentist now.
Now she is working on getting her masters in health administration.
