I like Judge Hidalgo.

I've had a chance to have a sit-down meeting with her.

Unfortunately, some of the counsel that she seeks and follows is not in the best interest of Harris County or her political career.

Downvotes from people who have never met or interacted with her.

This was a tactic of the East German Stasi. They didn't have to spy on everyone when the people willingly did it for them. I can't stand these "see something, say something" campaigns. How about mind your own damn business?

You might like her and she might be a nice lady but that is some Nazi Germany level shite she is pushing. These stay at home measures and shutdowns have technically been a suggestion and most ppl have complied. But at some point enough is enough. What they are doing in places by arresting and ticketing ppl is unconstitutional. The only way they can legally enforce it is by declaring martial law which temporarily suspends constitutional rights, and that has not happened anywhere.

Is it?

If they get enough cases of people not following the requested policy, might it provide reason to shut down retail again?

I met Tommy Tuberville once. Sat down and broke bread with him. Talked football.

Still don’t like him.

I sure hope these people sue also. In fact, it appears only the judicial branch will bring these tyrants to their knees. And you know how hit and miss it is to find a judge that actually thinks the Constitution and Bill of Rights is law? Gah, if only we had a President who wasn't a damn germphobe. It's literally his only weakness.

Meeting tommy tuberville seems like it would make it even easier to dislike Tuberville based on some of the things I’ve heard about him.

want to explain why she’s also pushing to have have mail in voting funded and setup for the general election in November. She’s made it clear that is one of the outcomes she’s angling for.

We weren’t doing shite in February when this got here and we never got close to overloading the system.

I’m not saying the lockdown wasn’t a good thing. I’m just saying it looks like it wasn’t as deadly as predicted and people were well infected before it became a thing.

A 27 year old hospital interpreter, with a sociology degree has zero business being a politician anywhere.

She's a moron. Who clearly has zero understanding of Biology, or Basic Statistics.
She's basically Harris County version of AOC.

Yes, she is encouraging people to rat out their neighbors for something that isn’t even the law. Again these shutdowns are technically suggestive. No law has been passed to shutdown businesses. The only way a government can restrict, assembly, or movement is to declare martial law and that hasn’t happened anywhere in the United States yet. No a judge cannot declare martial law only a Governor or President can do that
