HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- Harris County Judge Lina Hidalgo has issued an order prohibiting outdoor gatherings of 10 or more people.

The order went into effect July 3 and will last until at least 11:59 p.m. on Wednesday, August 26.

The enforcement of the order also comes at a time where people are celebrating Fourth of July weekend.

If you do plan to take in some dazzling fireworks displays, you'll need to know that fireworks are only allowed in unincorporated Harris County. Viewing them from inside your car is allowed.

Fireworks displays and gatherings with more than 100 people viewing them from outside a vehicle is prohibited.

So 25 people can't attend a BBQ in the backyard....But it's ok for them to all cram into the house??

Frick that Columbian broad. This is AMERICA!!!! Did she not read or take the fricking Citizenship Test???

We should start a petition to have her de-naturalized.I'd pay the Cali cartel to come and get her and dump her off in the mountains somewhere.

what's the point-

However, there are exceptions to Harris County's order where certain outdoor gatherings of more than 10 people are still allowed:

Religious services
Local government operations
Child-care services
Youth camps
Recreational sports programs for youths and adults
Professional, collegiate, or similar sporting events
Swimming pools
Water parks
Museums and libraries
Zoos, aquariums, natural caverns, and similar facilities
Rodeos and equestrian events
Amusement parks

There’s about a million exceptions. I don’t even understand the point.

Protests are already having a march tonight for the soldier murdered. Let’s see how serious she is about it

What a dick move so late before the holiday - shocking that you give these libtards this kind of power and you find out who the real dictators are

At least Louisiana knew they had idiot mayors all over the state that were sure to make bad decisions.

Poor Texas is stuck with obscure county judges that are now drunk with power and essentially declaring martial law all over the state.

Can someone explain why Texas county judges issue orders? Are TX county judges like our parish presidents? Honest question

Where in the world does a judge get the authority to legislate from the bench?

The young lady?

Didn't perpetrator get identified, and he killed himself?

Why the "protest"?

Yeah, she’s pretty much like a parish president. But she’s a wholly unqualified former Spanish language translator at a Houston hospital with delusions of liberal godhood.
