KATC 3 article
Lemme guess, the RINOs in charge haven't found a way to tax and make money off of it?
For a city that claims to be the next Austin ( ), they are going about it all wrong.

People were probably just using them for crime anyway. They wouldn’t be using a scooter if they could afford a truck like a normal person

What’s a Like and Bird scooter? Something kids use?

I was wondering how long before someone got killed on one. I saw some kids last Friday night hauling arse around (wait for it) Sonic, trying to ride wheelies and shite in the parking lot. Looking for a fight no doubt.

It's old, and you're not even good at it.

These things are a nuisance and should be picked up and sold for scrap.

Came upon some teenagers riding them down South College, a very busy road with blind corners, recently.
Lucky someone hasn’t been killed yet.

Pretty much this, I figured it wouldn't last long. I was making a dickton of money charging them. Can't have nothing nice.

I've got a few friends that work in the ER at Lafayette General. They said they get scooter related injuries in all the time

So scooters can't be accommodated, by law, but bicycles can? Is is just because scooters are motorized? I gotta be missing something obvious.

I must have missed that news release.

If people would of followed the rules there wouldn't be any issues. Ever since they put them out people are flying down the sidewalks downtown at 20 mph while people are walking on sidewalk or exiting stores and restaurants. It makes for a very dangerous situation and should be removed.

Saw some kids riding them down Johnston St. at night in the rain the other day. It was pretty hard to see them.

Those smelly hipsters should be driving F250's with truck nuts. Get your toys out of the road.

What's better, a kid with a scratch from a scooter or a guy that has a broken neck from being hit by a drunk driver?

There are no rules.. that's how Bird and Lime operate. They just drop 100s of these things off in the middle of the night, and then sit back in California and collect money. If they can get $100-200 worth of rides out of each one, then it doesn't matter if they end up in the river or smashed thru the windshield of another driver.
They don't do an ounce of maintenance, so you're basically playing scooter roulette hoping that one of the wheels doesn't fall off at 20mph.
