I don't fear not existing, if it comes to that. More concerned with the "how" of death, as mentioned above.

Not concerned about dying but am a wimp when it comes to pain. Don't want that.
Biggest fear is a catheter. Never had one and hope I never do. Whoever puts one in me or removes it will die trying.

There is literally a gate, it looks to be made of Pearl, and St. Peter checks a book to decide if you get into heaven. I have never been inside the gate. Hell has layers for different purposes. I visited the Temple of Fear, which is in the suburbs. They use it for spiritual journeys to teach lessons. Basically, they torture you with your greatest fears so that you can confront them, understand the roots of them, and learn from them. If not, they simply torture you with them for all eternity.
There is no peace and understanding in Hell. If you were nervous and insecure in life, you will be such on the other side, and it will be used against you.
Not all of Hell is meant to be punitive. Some is meant to be educational. It might be that these areas are the roots of the concept of purgatory. This allows souls to earn their way to heaven, or in my case, to get a second chance at life. The idea being, that if you learn from your fears and mistakes that you will change your actions and won’t needlessly die again if you’re resurrected.
I don’t know how easy it is to move between areas of Hell, or how relatively good or bad other parts are. However, the Temple of Fear is absolutely f$&king terrifying. I do not recommend it. The lessons I learned were invaluable, but the pain suffered to learn them was unfathomable.
Btw, Peter has a really stressful job. He can be a little terse and sarcastic, but he means well, and he’s got a lot on his plate. He’s only human.

Not afraid of death, it's the loss of my ability to take care of myself and having that fall on my loved ones that scares the crap out of me.
Look at guys like Bruce Willis or Gene Hackman who apparently died several days after his wife died in their home. They surmised he plodded around the house in his dementia and simply died because it didn't click to eat, drink or reach out for help.
I'd rather a bullet to the head than to go out like that.

I used to fear death. However, I had a stroke several years back, and lost my fear of death. One of my friends is an EMT….he says that death is the easy way out.

I have a hard time wrapping my brain around people that are scared to die.
I even try to look at it from the perspective that I have 3 young children and maybe it would be hard on them. I guess I get that, but otherwise it’s weird to be scared of something that is inevitable and happens to everyone.

There is something, I saw a glimpse of it when I almost died. "Experienced" is a better word than "saw".
Anyway, it would be nice to say that there was some old gray haired guy in a robe, but it wasn't anything like that. As strange as it sounds, I think it would be explained as much with physics as it would be with religion. It was like being in the presence of infinite, pure, and perfect power. By far the most humbling experience of my life, nothing comes close.
