To each his/her/its own, but I'm not allowing the pronoun shite. They/them are not acceptable pronouns to replace he/she - the former are plural, the latter are singular. You can't just interchange singular pronouns with plural pronouns - it not grammatically acceptable.Your kid eventually has to nail the ACT to get into college.

Tell them you'd rather your kid learn how to speak properly than like an idiot SJW. Your kid needs to learn how to respect adults, so he will be using Ms, Mr, yes sir, yes ma'am.

I would send my own note back to the teacher and explain that we don't use her terms and that she should not judge us because of it. Should she judge us because of it I would also include that that would be bigotry.

When I was in high school (mid 90s), we had a new math teacher who was obviously gay. This comment reminded me of that, but I remember it being a big deal.. Not because of what the student said, but because the teacher wrote him up and the school went as far as to suspend him.

You know I try really hard to be open minded and accepting of people. I figure they got to live their lives and things are hard enough for everybody without throwing negativity around to people you meet, even if they are different and have different values. As long as they aren't hurting me or impinging on my happiness, frick it. Do you. I'll try my best to be nice to you and treat you with dignity and respect.
But I just do not get this stuff at all, and I can not help but think that something fundamentally does not make sense here and is stretching reasonableness. I don't know, man. There's something screwy about this new gender shite.
