5th grade is not 6 year olds. My son just started 6th grade. He is aware (because I told him) that sometimes, for whatever reason, guys are attracted to guys and girls are attracted to girls. He thinks it's a little weird, but whatever (he likes tall blonde chicks FWIW). I have not gone beyond that into SJW Land, and he knows to say "yes ma'am" to teachers with vaginas and breasts and "yes sir" to the other variety of teacher. This would just confuse the frick out of him, and I'm not willing to have that conversation with him yet. So, I find a new school, or home school.
