6) Studies have shown a reduction in infanticide, teen age drug use, and teen age childbearing consistent with the theory that abortion will reduce other social ills similar to crime. These six points all support the hypothesis. There is one fact that, without more careful analysis, argues against the Donohue-Levitt story:

7) The homicide rate of young males (especially young Black males) temporarily skyrocketed in the late 1980s, especially in urban centers like Los Angeles, New York City, and Washington, DC, before returning to regular levels soon thereafter. These young males who were hitting their peak crime years were born right around the time abortion was legalized

I’ve said it elsewhere but I’ll repeat. These talking points are straight from Thanos’ manifesto.

Bingo. But muh religious beliefs. We should subsidize Leslie Jones having as many abortions as she wants.

Remember when SNL was funny?

Yeah, when they weren’t political

Will Farrell as W and Darryl hammond as gore during the 2000 election was fricking hilarious. They railed on both of them equally and they had great impressions.

You can be political and funny. Now they're just political.

I will never understand this argument. Banning abortion is not controlling women's bodies. You are free to have sex as much as you like, or not have sex. You are free to have 100 babies. Or have 0 babies if you so choose.

What you are not free to do is to conceive a baby. Then change your mind about the baby you already made.

I don't get this line of thinking either. They're somehow framing this as old white men are trying to control women.

We aren't dealing with slavery here or a right to vote. Half of the women in this country don't believe in abortion so I can't jive with the women's rights thing. The number would not be close to 50% if rights were being taken away. Those women against abortion would join the others

What's funny to me is that so many of you who are pro lifers are also pro death penalty.

I think plain old Sigmund Freud-style penis envy underlies a lot of their views. Gun control, abortion, all of the sex/gender crap... those people are just eaten up with "daddy issues."

Explain the opposite.

Why is it OK to kill an innocent unborn child, yet you fight to keep alive a convicted murderer?

I don't hold that belief so you'd have to ask someone who does. Still curious on my question though.

While I would never advocate for someone to have an abortion, I don't think it's my place to tell people what they can or can't do.

Either way, its all a bunch of political bullshite. Is this really the topic government should waste time over?

Maybe those senators feel like they should have a say as to whether or not their biological child could be murdered before it had a chance to live. I don’t understand how abortion is solely a women’s rights issue. I would rather go through childbirth as a man than allow my unborn child to be murdered without my consent. frick my body, who gives a shite about their body when their child’s life is at stake?

Unless you’ve been raped, or some serious situation such as that, you’re committing homicide by getting abortion.

Well, I'll answer for me.
I believe that every human has a basic fundamental right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness (to borrow a quote). this includes all children, and to be children. I don't feel it is right for a mother to take away the right of this to be human just because she doens't want the inconvenience of the child.
Every child should be given a chance. I'm even for free education, even in college, because I think if you want to better yourself, you should be able to. Whether you take the opportunity to do this or not is your decision and you should deal with the consequences.
Capital punishment is there for those who have so wrongfully ruined lives, and those who CHOOSE to commit a crime should suffer such consequences. Should a murder victim's family have to watch the very person that ended their loved one's life get paroled and walk away from prison?
You get where you are in life by YOUR own choices. Provided everyone is given a reasonable opportunity to do themselves better, any situation that finds you dealing with a capital punishment sentence is of your own doing, not society's, not someone else's.
An abortion is a killing of a human that is given no choice.

I wonder when women are going to realize this isn't about them or their bodies....it's about the child (as much of a human as Leslie Jones....probably moreso in most cases) that has no way to voice their opinion on being killed by their own mother.
