Do Catholics consider alligator meat seafood? Wife (No pics) wants to cook alligator sauce piquante tonight. MIL is upset and calling us heathens. MIL is from Westbank, so she is insane.
We always considered alligator and frog legs OK to eat on Fridays during Lent growing up in Southwest Louisiana.

Archdiocese of New Orleans already weighed in on this. Alligator is seafood.

cold blooded = seafood
no clue if that actually right in eyes of Catholic church though.

Thank you for your sacrifice

Just eat 15 lbs of boiled shrimp. That'll be my sacrifice in this Lenten Friday.

Seafood. I remember some years ago, Tom Fitzmorris had someone from the archdiocese on his show to talk about this and I have even heard him talk about it with Archbishop Aymond. It is seafood.

As was said.....the Catholic Church said gator was seafood so have at it. Gator frog and turtle are all good to go.

Nothing pisses of all powerful, all knowing deities like getting nutritional sustenance from eating meat on a particular day. Tread carefully.

Tell that MIL of yours to find for you the part in the Bible that says you can’t eat dinosaurs.

I'd eat steak in front of her.

Did they call God on the red phone and ask?

Can you milk an alligator? No
Can an alligator fly? No
Can an alligator swim? Yes
It’s ok to eat alligator of Fridays.

What's the MIL's ruling on eating out your wife / her daughter? Is it okay to eat her out on Fridays as long as it smells like tuna? You catholics are so fricking weird.
