Option 1: Could have been an engine failure after take off… they have the other at max power climbing out on one engine. We train for it, it’s called a V1 cut. Lears and the wing being more like a fighter jets than commercial aircraft when you get slow and stall the aircraft have a tendency to snap roll harder which leads to the dive. Engines still roaring cause yea the one was at full blast trying to climb and given the holy shite moment pilots never pulled it back….

Interesting. It certainly sounds like at least one engine was howling away.

Yall are so fricking juvenile with this shite, its actually scary that people with this mindset votes (on both sides).

A plane suddenly darted to the ground in an area where it likely blew away some homes and killing people and yall are bitching about who was president when shite happened? Do you and the dumbass you are responding to truly believe who is president played a factor in any crashes that happened under them?

Some of you act like the president has his hands on everything and sits in the oval office just controlling shite all over the country. I guess Biden started the wild fires in California and Trump caused the planes to crash?

It was 50 degrees when they took off and they only got up to 1,600 ft so they wouldn’t have been in any ice yet.

Looks like a fire. Wing deterioration, stall? Gotta be mechanical.

When your mind is nothing but 24/7 politics everything is political, and there is literally nothing that can't be made a weapon with which to bash your political enemies. It is sad.

I just made a joke about the Mexican plane being cheaper than an American and a smoothbrain comes back comparing insurance.

Well it’s interesting the FAA and pretty much every flight manual out there advice anti ice below 10 degrees Celsius and visible moisture, given the lapse rate possible and why it was option two…. Engine failure seems more likely and the adverse of the engine on one side of the fuselage running at full blast and the other sitting out there as full drag, you yaw the wings, alittle bit slow, in the soup… why it was option 1

I used to be really interested in politics growing up but the state of things now has turned me off of it completely. The back and forth and making every little incident be me vs you from both sides is exhausting.

Serious question. What would make a plane just fall out of the air full speed like that?

Cuz the speed of that thing had me originally thinking this was a suicidal pilot

If the O2 tank exploded inside the plane, it's possible it threw the pilots forward into the stick.
If they were still trying to climb and accelerate, engines would be revved up. Then bang, and you dive straight down with the jets still pushing

That video of the people walking out their front door is insane.

That plane was in a straight dive and hauling arse.

Right, because most planes don’t only make it to 1600 ft and slam into the ground.

Gotta make it into the freezing level before ice forms though and moisture from the ground will linger into the low freezing level when it’s below 10c on the ground, which is why they advise.

Shades of MCAS/Max 8 failures with that straight nose dive.

Sheesh.
