Some backpack blowers are insanely noisy!
Commercial leaf blowers are often more powerful and generate higher noise than residential models. Gas-powered leaf blowers, commonly used by landscaping crews and groundskeepers, can produce noise levels of 90 dB or more. Given the intensity and duration of commercial use, operators and employers need to address noise concerns and implement noise reduction strategies to protect their hearing and comply with local regulations.
Gas-powered leaf blowers tend to emit higher noise levels due to the nature of their engines and power sources. On average, gas leaf blowers generate noise levels ranging from 95 to 110 dB, depending on the specific model and manufacturer. These noise levels can be especially problematic in densely populated neighborhoods or areas with noise restrictions. Users of gas-powered leaf blowers should consider alternative options or implement noise reduction strategies to minimize their impact on the community.

It seems like landscapers are here seven days a week several hours a day blowing leaves around.
For some reason leaf blowers are far more annoying than lawn mowers and weed eaters.
I guess you get out there and sweep all your leaves and grass cuttings with a broom, right?

He also didn't bitch that they should just stop being so damn lazy and use a broom like him; therefore, I will assume he also uses a leaf blower

My Echo PB 9010 T with a 80cc 2 stroke makes a hell of a lot of noise. I live so far from neighbors, no one hears it but my wife.

Cut my grass early this morning after I got off work. I hope you live in my neighborhood.

I took the spark arrestor and catalytic converter out of mine. Got a bit louder.

Not sure why you’re getting downvoted so hard. It’s annoying as frick to hear like 8 straight hours of leaf blowers every Saturday and Sunday.
What's the alternative?

You want to live in the country? Move. If you want to live in the city? Shake the sand out of your panties and shut up.

I think most people on the OT shouldnt live around other people.
It seems normal people stuff bother everyone.

Because it's the middle of the day on a Friday and he's bitching about the lawn guys using leaf blowers? Would he prefer they do it early in the morning, late in the evening, weekends? He also didn't bitch that they should just stop being so damn lazy and use a broom like him; therefore, I will assume he also uses a leaf blower Also, this belongs on the pool board, not the OT
My issue with leaf blowers is that they make a ton of noise without actually solving the problem of getting rid of the leaves. If they used them to create piles to bag or mulch, fine. But just blowing them into the street or the neighbor’s yard so that way they can immediately blow back into the yard or clog storm drains is a waste of noise.

We get it religiously every Wednesday at 8:15 a.m. in our building.

Also, if you feel the need to spend several hours per week blowing leaves, maybe you aren’t cut out for having trees on your property. It’s nature. Trees drop leaves.

I have three huge oak trees in my yard. I needed maximum velocity to move the leaves and acorns. I bought a commercial Red Max leaf blower 5 years ago. It’s noisy as hell, kicks arse and makes quick work cleaning up the yard. IDGAF who it annoys.
