I like how even the dog is in witness protection in Slow's picture.

Looks really bad in Cameron. Hope no one stayed.
haven't there already been reports that some people have stayed?

Flooding in Lake Chuck might not even be as bad as Ike with this coming on directly into Cameron and not the state line.

Not that any of you SELA baws should care, but it looks like they've got it kicking a little further east around toledo. No offense to Ruston but that would be the least populated path though LA

I’d pay good money to be in a cement building 25ft in the air on cement pilings in Cameron right now.
But since that’s not possible, I couldn’t imagine being there in any other situation. Even though the courthouse survived Audrey, Rita, and Ike you couldn’t pay me to pass this storm there.

Not too many years ago, this caused part of Tampa Bay to be emptied and people walked out in the bay. Can't recall which storm.

TWC said about 150. They were told to put information to ID them in a ziplock and have it on their person for when they’re found later.

There's still gonna be a ton of home repair needed with this extreme wind but that's easier to deal with than a flood. At least you might be able to live in your home while it's repaired.

It has been incredibly calm in BR for the last couple hours, but starting to get some slight gusts. (And by slight I mean probably 15 mph)
Sitting on the back porch praying for you guys out in/around LC. I know how stressful these hours can get.
