The pressure for that 92 mph gust is 'only' 981 mb. Much more wind to come if instrument survives.

For those interested, water level at the Saltwater Barrier has been going down for the past 3 hours.
Implications?

I always think it's interesting how front loaded hurricanes are. Everything is out front despite looking completely symmetrical on IR. It wrapped up tight into the core then there's not much after that. Once they make landfall the moisture source is cut off to an extent and the backside of the storm decays.

Shits getting real on that Cameron feed. Lights still on in Hackberry.

Farva to Klein, are you safe? I repeat, are you safe?

I'm seeing more little spin-up potential south of Lafayette/Erath/Youngsville. This band setting up is nasty.

Signifies her back end may be just as bad as her front end if im reading this right.

Looks like East Houston, Baytown, and League City is going to get hit fairly hard.

This Cameron live feed still looks to have a light on across from it. Rain picked up and coming down sideways.
Looks really bad in Cameron. Hope no one stayed.

73 gusting to 92 near Cameron. Next update should get to sustained hurricane winds and possibly 100+ gusts
ETA - The instrument site is just a sample of the surrounding area. There are likely stronger winds closeby.
