Just looking to see, all of the hotels in Lake Charles are sold out Wed. night on, all Hilton, Marriott and Holiday Inn properties, even L'auberge

What is any of that going to do for you besides catch Covid? Do they all have their own backup generators?

Were you there for Rita? Also, if you don't have a battery radio, get one of those , beats sitting in your car

No, I was in LC but we evacuated.

And thank you! I had thought of that earlier but forgot. I’ll put it on the list for tomorrow.

Perspective on how much water to cross before landfall. It is diagonally across the entire GOM or about 800 miles.

Another recon pass showing the LLC is creeping towards the coast. Also, notice the convective burst rotating upshear, as sign that Laura is getting better organized.

Haven’t found a decent news radio station in LC. Been listening to a station out of Port Arthur.
I’ve been working in Sulphur/Westlake. Trying to decide if I should go back home to Gonzales tomorrow.

We may be getting more rain in South Carolina from Little Marco than Louisiana got.

Now good luck with Laura
