Lowe’s has weather instruments

AcuRite is what Lowe's carries. It is a hit or miss brand. For the type winds you could see, it likely won't stand up.

my wife has this thing against breaking rules. I swear, she’d be the one who listened to communist propaganda and believe it if it was blasted over a radio because it was “official”.

God bless all, praying this thing doesn't strengthen much.

Glad Marco didn't get it together.

When landfall time comes, everyone will be looking for live feeds and cams. Hurricane Track is a good place to follow. They will put out multiple cameras and weather stations as well as live streaming their drive and travels before landfall and during. To access most of the cams and all of the weather instruments, you have to be a Patreon at the $10 level.

Mark Sudduth seems like good people, and he has a good crew around him. His community on Patreon helps him out with more than funding, they do all sorts of stuff. I haven't joined, but I am strongly considering it for this one.

Check it out:

So many people believe that following and interest is equal to "hoping". It isn't.

So 10PM is a big update and then which is the next one after that?

It's going to be a long 2.5 hours

Spoiler- the NHC won’t change a damn thin in any way we’d consider drastic. He’ll, we’ll probably argue for a page or two whether or not the track shifted at all.

In the past hurricane threads, there were a lot of copy/past people committing plagiarism trying to sound smart. Tigahrag used to call them on it constantly RIP

Now we have you. We’re so thankful.

We were without power for five days during Rita. The local station kept up its regular programming of canned music streamed from Los Angrles or wherever. Most small stations outside metropolitan areas don't even have onsite personnel.

Just looking to see, all of the hotels in Lake Charles are sold out Wed. night on, all Hilton, Marriott and Holiday Inn properties, even L'auberge.
ETA: Golden Nugget has a few rooms left for $269

I'm still chuckling over whoever said the track shifted east by about half the "H" in "Hurricane".
