For some reason I feel like Laura will go more west than predicted or will be more east. I don't feel like the
"center" of the storm will be accurate with the current cone.

Dont think we will have a good idea until late tonight. Think the 10PM advisory will be big.

Also think it gains strength over the gulf and will potentially be a 3.

uhhhh no. This thing changes every 3 hours. No one is out of the woods until she is past cuba and in the gulf. Then models will be more consistent. Last night things were pushing more to Lafayette/br. This morning it is back to lake charles.

Should be getting 12Z runs of the models from Levi at 7AM. Every model run from here on out will be big as this thing gets closer and closer to clearing Cuba.

Well chances are one of your predictions will be right.

They just love to kill off New Orleans with storms. They have a bloodlust for it.

Katrina was like heroin. They lookin’ for that thrill again.

Disgusting imho.

My prognostication is more west, landing in the Beaumont area.

For sure. No one tunes if it hits some no name town on the LA/TX coast but the possibility of Nola drowning brings eyeballs to the screen. Hence their wishcasting

They keep mentioning it’s been the “wettest July on record here.” Well today is August 24th and I cut my grass yesterday and the ground was hard as frick and it’s rained 2 or 3 times in August so that is irrelevant. Just trying to create drama, it’s actually kind of sad on their part.

Same here. Got a pretty good rain here yesterday evening and the ground just soaked it up.

I will say wind has already pushed a good bit of water out of Lake M and Lake P this way. But it's nothing out of the ordinary really. SE wind always does that.

Getting to around the 72 hour mark for landfall and while the models have shifted left or right it seems the landfall zone is as far west as Galveston to east to near Intercoastal City, LA. Yes, i know that ensembles have more of a spread just going by the operational runs of each model.

I like Rob Krieger but him out by the silver slipper reporting on the weather with the sea oats barely moving was pathetic.

Has there been a model in the last couple of days that has taken this storm that far east?

That’s probably a pretty good synopsis of likely tracks at this point.
