Seriously that’s like a workweek of nonstop rain and wind

Not really, look at the rainfall forecast for Marco. Acadiana and SW LA arent going to get much and might have some 30mph winds

You can’t have school buses running next week.

Look at his old posts. He recently turned on the schtick and this act. Prior posts were normal.

Baton Rouge looks like bad weather for days.

Looks like East side of both storms at this point but could change for Marco
At this point BR definitely East side of Laura.

In the next update, I expect,/predict that Marco will shift a bit East and little intensification and Laura a bit west with intensification.

Lafayette is in a literal crosshair as the 2 paths intersect right on it

This doesn’t sound too fun for Lafayette

Less burning?

No- we never burn during planting.

As it sits now, the state is probably 50-60% done. We have been blessed with exceptional weather, but getting labor in for some was an issue- those are the guys that still have a good ways to go.

Problem with planting is- it obviously has to be dry, but the cane also needs to be standing straight to use the old harvesters to cut whole stalks to plant as seed. With these storms, the cane is gonna go flat, and we’ll need to go get the seed with a conventional combine- cutting little billets.

Chris Cozart is damn good. Seriously. That dude is hardly ever wrong on this type of stuff. He nailed the 2016 flood in that area days in advance and was one of the first ones to accurately predict it when it would end.

So on current paths, appears BR will get some rain, wind and for the most part avoid the brunt of the storms??

Thanks in advance, I'll hang up and listen

Looking better for BR no doubt, but I wouldn’t bank on that quite yet. A stronger Marco will continue to impart small changes to the ridge guiding Laura. How that plays out won’t be decided until early tomm morning IMHO

That last Euro run shifted East close to 200 miles from its prior run. Still have some uncertainty with swings that large

I just don’t see how others are claiming Marco turning up the gulf and colder waters won’t impact Laura.
