How bad is it going to get in Lafayette? I am supposed to be moved into my new house next weekend, but we still have a few things that need to get done. Any chance they will be able to work Monday and Tuesday?

Man, I have no idea of the details of your situation. Are you prone to flooding? IMO the biggest issue with these “small” storms is flooding and loss of power.

Flooding is not an issue. I just need to know whether I should should ask the owner of our rent house for a few more days?

Considering that we are getting hit by 2 hurricanes, I’d ask him for a few more days.

If it's not going to break the bank, just do it to not have to worry about it.

These storms aren’t even in the gulf yet and the projected path can swing hundred of miles in either direction between now and landfall, not to mention intensity is a more difficult aspect to predict this far out.

Asking these kinds of questions about conditions in specific locations this many days out are the stupidest things that inevitably pop up in these threads for every storm.

I am sorry. I looked back in this thread and saw pictures that showed one in the gulf and heard it will make landfall around lunch on Monday. I am terribly sorry that I have been away from the internet all day and thought TD would be the best place to ask. Please forgive me and kiss my arse.

It's finally lined up with the GFS, but shite on intensity. 18z doesn't even have new info put into it. I'd toss it.

Seems like Levi thinks Laura’s center is a bit north of the current NHC center.

Which ultimately means a shift back east a bit

Though it doesnt really matter I guess, just matters where it is once it clears Cuba
