they're not even asking for a loan. they could put this up for a bond if they REALLY couldn't manage otherwise, but they won't

this is so infuriating

you frick it up

you continue to run a shitty service

you rack up an insane deficit and can't correct it, and you then just go "you have to ignore all of that. think of our city (and the children)!"

this shite makes me legit mad. it's one of the few political issues that boils my blood. Flint was the same thing. how these local politicians have the balls to try to skirt responsibility and try to frame the argument in such a way that it's wrong to point it out is fricking insane

I haven’t seen a breakdown of the money owed yet. It might be out there and I haven’t read all the responses. The reason I say this is because the S&WB collects the trash money for the city. Residents know they can pay their bill minus the trash part and their water will never be shut off. I am wondering how much of this unpaid amount is for trash. The city has always tried to take over the S&WB. So they might be trying to make them look even worse when it is really on the city.

Because their ability to provide any bill yet alone accurate bills became so fatally flawed that it was impossible to hold the payer accountable.
