Well considering the Bidens have already used Ukraine to funnel money into their pockets

I haven't been in this thread for a few weeks. Are people actually arguing that? Are Reagan Republicans (what I consider myself) considered the moderate line/not pure enough? I remember when we were considered the "right wing". frick Steve Schmidt & Co for unleashing Palin upon us.

I mean I get it, there is definitely shady shite that happened with the Bidens and that Ukrainian O&G company. But let's not pretend that same story hasn't been told over multiple companies and countries, and multiple politicians, to include Republicans.
Yet some would seem to think that the only reason we are backing the country that was invaded by Russia is to protect the Bidens.
Magastan vs. Wokeistan.

Deleted post. I fed a troll in response to a political point. My bad.

We certainly cannot have hyper partisans on this thread, can we, Cent….?

Hey guys I don’t follow the news or anything but I’m curious on a scale of 1-10 how successful Russia has been in invading Ukraine?
Posted on 5/10/22 at 7:54 pm to SteelerBravesDawg
Mussolini fricked around and found out trying to invade Greece and Yugoslavia. Hitler had to bail him out, with major implications for the timing of Barbarossa. History keeps repeating itself with a bizarro twist in this special operation.

I’d say about 2.4

Just an excuse for y’all not to post on correct board.
If it bothers you so much why do you keep clicking on the thread? It isn't that complicated.
Pretty clear why some folks chose to start a thread on this board. Glad they did.

Russia has never been obsessed over taking mass casualties (just look at the Stalingrad numbers) and their transition to a closed economy is reportedly going faster than most expected.

I do think they miscalculated NATO's response. They thought that the threat of nukes would keep the status quo but it brought the countries closer and perhaps more importantly pushed Finland fully into the NATO sphere of influence. The only major concession he's been given is Ukraine backing away from NATO.

Ukraine has driven Russia back to its border. Ukrainian force are likely to be within artillery range of Vovchansk which is on the main lines of communications between Russian forces in Izyum and Russia's logistics hub of Belogrod in the next 24 hours. At that point Russia will have to send its supply convoys on a 150+ km detour over two lane Russian roads which are not built to carry the weight of Russian equipment to keep the Russian forces on the Izyum axis of advance supplied. Since the Izyum axis of advance has ground to a halt and Ukrainians are finding intact Russian tanks abandoned because they are out of fuel in that area of the front; I do not see any scenario how a 150+ km detour does not cost Russia.
1. Good news if confirmed
2. I still think they should bomb tf out of tactical targets across the border

It's pretty clear that they're withdrawing out of the Kharkiv region to focus on the Southeast where they're having major success.
You guys are mislabeling this guy as spouting Putin’s propaganda because even Putin doesn’t shine a turd this much. Ffs dude.

quote:Agree 100%. If they mount a counter offensive that starts pushing them back into Russia that gives them a bargaining chip for the southern coast. I would be slightly concerned that Belarus would be forced into defending Russia if Ukrainian soldiers crossed the border. Everything is happening on television around the world but for students of history the echoes of August 1914 are becoming quite noticeable.

Seems to me that the Russians are fighting as if it is still 1914. Heavy reliance on artillery. Massive infantry formations. No combined arms coordination. Other than the occasional rocket or missile there really isn’t much of a difference

I don’t think they care to bargain, nor does it appear they should. They’ve withstood the storm and forced complete retreat from Kyiv. They’ve reportedly forced retreat from Kharkiv moving their own troops basically to the Russian border. They’re holding on in the East. They’re gearing up for what could be a massive counterattack with hundreds of thousands of additional troops and masses of western weaponry. And they’re the home team. They’re on the verge of real leverage and the choice to use it or continue to BTFO the Russians to their hearts desire.

As I said, stidham makes more excuses for the Russian Army than the Russian Army does.

All I know is it was brutal to be 14 pages behind and read through that disaster. I tried to just keep plowing through, but good lord at that point.
