It's insane to me all of our politicians and media are foaming at Russia and not a single frick was given about our border to Mexico which has been utterly abused for an entire year shattering record immigrants pouring in

It was. And we did stay out of it until Japan stupidly made their fatal mistake of attacking us.

We likely never get into that war if we weren’t attacked

Their choice was very Sun Tzu. It is also arguable that the fatal mistake was not Pearl Harbor but the line of mistakes they made subsequently.

Is there some particular reason that there have been about 2000 posts about the Mexican border in threads about Ukraine other than that’s the talking point that has been put out? The Mexican border crises is a serious issue and you should probably start a thread about it.

Whataboutism can be pretty effective in some situations, but I don't know that you will make much headway with that one in this situation.

The Mexico thing only makes sense because of Kamala being tasked with both.

Not that people repeating it on this board have any idea what they’re trying to articulate.

No I get the parallels, but it’s possible to have a discussion about a potential major war in Europe without spouting political platitudes.

Russia invading Ukraine how does that impact everyday Americans?

Hundred of thousands if not millions of immigrants illegally coming to the US for over a year with no stop in that's impacting everyday Americans.

I don't know if anyone saw but Biden ordered farmers and ranchers an undisclosed amount of money for property damage caused by these immigrants. Now let's talk about housing, jobs, voting etc.

Please tell me and every single American why Russia invading Ukraine is more important and deserves more attention than our own border?

Two years to the date and almost to the hour. Putin is literally fricking with us. I shouldn’t, but all I can do is laugh at us. It’s so pathetic and self-inflicted idk what else to do about it. Obama had his redline in Syria and Biden will have his in Ukraine.

I still maintain we’re not doing shite in Ukraine militarily, but remained concerned on spillover effects that lead to larger global conflict. Looking at Taiwan with the Olympics closing and Biden’s weakness in Afghanistan and Ukraine.

Also, yes I used the CNN tweet on purpose because I think it’s funnier.

So if Putin attacks the US via cyberwarfare, which he plans to do, you’re okay with that as long as no US troops are involved.

I thought he installed Trump just to wait til Trump was out of office to invade Ukraine.

Any word on what the Ukranian president said, or has his address not happened yet?

Nothing they did after PH was capable of preventing Japan’s inevitable defeat.

Better strategic and tactical decision making could have prolonged the war, but Japan was not capable of defeating the allies once the US fully mobilized. They would have eventually succumbed to the same strategy, been cut off, and forced to surrender. It was a man and materials game by mid-1942.

This is genius honestly. Force Ukraine’s hand again. They didn’t fight for Crimea…. Chances are good they won’t fight for Donbas either.
In 5 years Putin will move West again.
