Yep, a Ukraine armed with western technology is apparently more that Russia can handle. The Russkys really don’t want us to arm Ukraine with our best weapons instead of the ancient stuff they’ve been on the receiving end of lately.

That typo always drives me crazy.

Makes Taiwan a tough nut to crack in a traditional military manner.

Kazakhstan, a neighbor and ally of Russia, has reportedly denied a request for its troops to join Russian forces in their invasion of Ukraine.
The former Soviet republic also said it is not recognizing the Russia-created breakaway republics, the Luhansk People’s Republic and the Donetsk People’s Republic, NBC News reported Friday, citing officials.

This may be an indication of a few different things, either Russian Forces truly are beginning to run out of Stand-Off Cruise Missiles that can be fired from Bombers over Belarus or the Black Sea, or Russia is beginning to start risking Strategic Assets which is not a good sign.

How can Russia use the sinking of the Muskva as a cassus belli when Russia is saying that the Muskva sank while being towed during a storm after being damaged by an ammunition explosion?

Russia is probably wanting to be able to put more pressure on Belarus then Kazakstan. Not only would Belarus joining the war provide Russia with more troops, but it would also force Ukraine to redeploy troops back to northern Ukraine and away from the Donbas.

You can’t fault Russia for looking for help from some of the ‘Stans to help level the playing field against Ukraine.
Of course not. Russia wants other people killed for its invasion instead of its own people.

The fact that this can even be said is surprising, really.

If Belarus invades they will end up having a revolt on their hands with no standing army to stop it.
The people are just waiting for a reason
Also mass conscription by Russia is going to get a ton of untrained soldiers killed

Can we assume that Ukraine (and kibitzers) has a reason to believe that Russia's targeting is compromised in some way?

It was just having fun with the idea of Russia having to ask for help from those countries.

Belarus won’t send troops with Lukas grasp on power so precarious. Wont happen-their generals have also kaiboshed the idea with some resigning rather than entertain the notion…
