Russia will just blow up the rest of the damaged track section. Then use its Railway troops to put up a temporary bridge section to replace it. If the weather permits and the Russian railway troops are as competent as they are rumored to be then it should be back in service by the end of the week. If the Russian railway troops are as competent as the rest of the Russian military then Russian logistics might be set back for years.

That would go over as well as a wet fart in church. I remember that I got funny looks and comments for only being able to speak Russian and English when I went to Kharkiv for my friends wedding in 2019.

Not taking a side because I admittedly do not understand this dynamic well enough, but that guy with his wife and kid stuck in Ukraine didn’t necessarily think this, but very much was on the they see themselves as cousins etc train and civilians would be safe because of this. Seems clear now these thoughts were a severe misunderstanding of the issue.
I find this an interesting topic, in general, as well as the similar Asian examples China/Korea/Japan. I think we’ve advanced so much, had our attention split immeasurably, and have gone so long without real major conflict that we’ve become ignorant to the history of domination of what we see as similar races, but ones that are distinctly different.

We're literally using taxpayer dollars to incentivize farmers to grow less food.
Much like energy policy, one would hope the last 2 years will quickly change our National approach to natural resources and food.

Sir, what I'm saying is if the world finds itself in famine as a result of happenings in Ukraine, the US has the capacity to grow more grain. That is politics aside.

Kherson? Any updates or counter offensives going on there? I'm not so sure Ukraine has the proper equipment to launch these type offensives.

The Ukrainians are stoked about recapturing Viktor Medvedchuk, bestie of Putin & godfather to his daughter. He was under house arrest awaiting trial prior to the war, but went on the lam when the invasion started. Got caught wearing Ukrainian fatigues.

True somewhat, but another consideration is that the corn that is grown for our gas tanks uses a lot of fertilizer. And that in turn drives up fertilizer prices for our food. And there is only so much fertilizer that can be produced.

Taken at face value, the Russian numbers say they’ve destroyed almost all of the Ukrainian armored forces, and most of their artillery.
Logically, that explains why Kiev has been working so hard to get tanks and artillery from NATO states. Kievs wishlist will reflect the areas they suffered their worst losses and have the most critical needs.
The torture videos also support this though.
The torture videos show the Ukrainians picking out artillerists and pilots for special treatment. The beatings, mutilations, and murders. And that’s impotence driven behavior.The Ukrainians are getting their revenge on the people they normally can’t hurt.
The Ukrainians wouldn’t be worried about Russian artillery, if they had decent counter battery capabilities. And they wouldn’t be worried about Russian aircraft if their air defense systems were still intact.
There’s no way for Ukraine to go on the offensive, if they’re short on armor, if they don’t have the artillery, and if they can’t defend their own airspace.
