If you think the opposition to Trump was something to behold, if Rand ever won the Republican nomination, the entire DC establishment, national security apparatus and the mainstream media would coalesce in ways we can't even imagine to thwart his election. His non-interventionist foreign policy makes him persona non grata in American politics.

Appreciate those sticking to the war info. The idiots that keep bringing up pedo joe, trump, and politics really need to be banned

So do they abandon their positions north of Kyiv and move assets to SE? I’d make an attempt to reclaim the ports, oil and industrial areas.

The way they unassed the area leaving most of their equipment, it'll be months before those formations are combat effective again, if ever.

It seems the Russians are going to end up only where their artillery can reach. But idk if drones can knock out artillery or not.

You might be right, but God almighty I hope I’m still around too witnesses the media meltdown that could possibly be worse than former President Trump’s term in office.

I’m pretty sure that I am on the complete opposite side of the political isle. However, I agree with you here. There is a political board with a war thread for just that purpose. Keep the political stuff there unless it has a direct effect on the actual war.

Well Russia has only been able to shoot down 2 TB2 drones in 37 days of fighting. The TB2s have mostly been concentrated on suppressing artillery and attacking troops around Kyiv. Now that the fighting is shifting away from Kyiv, I would suspect a lot more TB2s showing up to suppress artillery in the east. Add in the other western drones that the Ukrainians will soon be deploying and I would say that yes the Ukrainian drones can suppress Russian artillery enough for the Ukrainian ground forces to keep putting the hurt on Russian troops in Ukraine.

Realistically do the Ukrainians have the capability to begin an offensive into Russian territory north from Kyiv with the Russians retreating to the East? Draw Russian troops back to Kyiv after just getting to the Donbas in the East? Save them by diverting troops back northwest to defend the motherland?

Russian pullback while leaving their equipment seems odd.
Best case scenario they’re reducing their chances of fighting in the south. Worst case they’re being ordered to flee so an all out carpet bombing can commence.

I have read that most of the Ukrainian army is deployed on the Donbass line. I have also been hearing that the Russians would like to initiate a pincer movement from the north and south to entrap them. Does anyone know the possibility or reality of the Russians being able to pull this off?

Most likely what's left of the army in the north is a rabble nobody can control. When the brass started pulling out the rout was on. If they don't have roadblocks and collection points set up those guys will steal anything with wheels and drive back to Russia.
