I’m not really up to speed on things. Does Russia have air superiority? It seems there is no way with the problems they seem to be having. I thought for sure hey would control the air. TIA to anyone in the know.

Even without context I would assume that's likely.

If you mean losing territory constantly and eventually losing the sovereignty of Ukraine…sure.

It's headed towards a humanitarian crisis and long stalemate battle for years to come via drone and ballistic missiles which Ukraine will eventually lose.

US, Europe and inevitably the world go into recession, China will do ok, Russia will be scraping by via China/India/Brazil(BRIC nations) and Ukraine will be an impoverished shithole where regular people will suffer at the hands of their hardline nationalist and Kremlin's paranoia revenge.

Everone loses but the elite who are going to position themselves to profit from the inevitable crash/bounce.

You mean America is funding Ukraine while Zelensky is begging for things on a daily basis?

Turn CNN off for a while.

An invaded country’s defense measures success by how they prevent invasion, not by how they slow or mildly irritate the invading force.

Russia is going to take Ukraine unless an internal force stops them or causes them to recalibrate their policy. Their goal isn’t to level everything they encounter - you wouldn’t do that to territory you are about to annex. Russia views success by bringing Ukraine back into their umbrella and keeping western influence at bay for a while longer. This has to happen now while the west, particularly the US, is perceived to be flat footed and weak.

It’s not a question of if, but when Ukraine is defeated. Our media may not recognize it but it is going to happen. It’s one thing to admire Ukraine for continuing to fight. It’s another to believe that Russia is going to stop without internal pressure or that Ukraine will exist as they did in 2021 again.

Haven’t they already begun “recalibrating” their policy? Haven’t they essentially retreated to the point of indiscriminate bombing/leveling everything? Russia doesn’t appear to have the necessary resources to annex or occupy much of Ukraine and has been unsuccessful in overthrowing the current government leadership. Ukrainian people clearly aren’t willing to accept a return to soviet rule.

I think it is far from predetermined that Russia will “take Ukraine.” It appears far more likely that Russia will “take” the parts of Ukraine it has already occupied and “taken” and be in a much worse position post war than it has been in a long time, both economically and in the world power pecking order.

how much territory is he losing? he has held kiev, russia isnt close to being able to take ukraine sovereignty and has said they are no longer trying to take kiev so how the frick is ukraine going to lose sovereignty?

if you really think russia is winning....well you are fricking blind. they are getting wrecked. is ukraine losing more people? sure, but ukraine is putting a hurting on russia and in the end this will be the end of the russian economy and their military being considered a superpower.
