Why aren't you fighting the globalists along with the freedom-loving Russians?
Why are you fighting the globalists from the comfort of your couch?
You and your fellow travelers seem less interest in peace than in Russia making Ukraine another rump state like Belarus.
Zelensky has overplayed his hand on the battlefield and on the political field and it will cost him and the Ukrainian people.
Ukraine should have taken the aid, built up their defenses and negotiated from a position where Putin couldn't make any more gains.
It's posters like you, JB, SirWinston and others that make me root against Russia even more.
The glee in Ukrainian deaths exceeds that of even the most Pro-Ukrainians cheering Russian losses.
So take your self-righteous BS somewhere else.

European Defense Stocks Soar as Govts Up Military Spend
European Commission chief Ursula von der Leyen warned on Sunday that “we urgently have to rearm Europe” as leaders from the continent met in London for crisis talks over Ukraine
by AFP | Mar. 3, 2025, 5:54 pm
Share prices of European defense companies soared Monday as London and the European Union look to ramp up military spending in the face of uncertainty over the United States’ commitment to Ukraine and NATO.
BAE Systems surged 14%, helping London’s benchmark FTSE 100 index to a record high, the latest in a series over recent months.
French defense group Thales won 15% and German peer Rheinmetall rallied 14% in afternoon trade.
“Europe is rallying round Ukraine and it’s hard to see defence stocks not enjoying years of orders,” said Neil Wilson, analyst at TipRanks.
European Commission chief Ursula von der Leyen warned on Sunday that “we urgently have to rearm Europe” as leaders from the continent met in London for crisis talks over Ukraine.
“It’s now of utmost importance we increase spending ... it’s important we prepare for the worst,” she added.
It came after British Prime Minister Keir Starmer last week pledged to boost UK defense spending to 2.5% of the economy by 2027.
In Germany, the two parties hoping to form the next government are planning to plough hundreds of billions of euros into defense and infrastructure when in power, the Bild newspaper reported Sunday.

Trump Pauses Military Aid to Ukraine After Clash With Zelenskiy
President Donald Trump ordered a pause to all military aid to Ukraine, turning up the heat on Volodymyr Zelenskiy just days after an Oval Office blowup with the Ukrainian president left the support of his country’s most important ally in doubt.
The US is pausing all current military aid to Ukraine until Trump determines the country’s leaders demonstrate a good-faith commitment to peace, according to a senior Defense Department official, who asked not to be identified discussing private deliberations.
The official said all US military equipment not currently in Ukraine would be paused, including weapons in transit on aircraft and ships or waiting in transit areas in Poland.

I actually agree with you guys on many points though believe it or fricking not.
Russia is not a natural enemy and should be an ally
Yeah, I don't believe it considering it contradicts basically every single thing you've said on this thread. You usually chime in with some incoherent rambling about how we're all traitorous pussies for not wanting to nuke Moscow.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy
@ZelenskyyUa
The basic scenario is to maintain positions and create conditions for proper diplomacy to achieve the swiftest possible end to this war with a just peace. We need peace, true and honest peace – not endless war. And security guarantees are essential.
The absence of security guarantees for Ukraine 11 years ago allowed Russia to start with the occupation of Crimea and the war in Donbas. Later, the absence of security guarantees allows Russia to launch a full-scale invasion, and now, due to the lack of clear security guarantees, Russia continues to fuel this war. The world sees this, and the world acknowledges it.
Today, we continued our work with European partners on a special diplomatic and security architecture that can bring us closer to peace.

I’ve been pro Ukraine this entire war but also a realist. Zelensky needs to swallow his pride, sign the deal with Trump and get the ball rolling to a solution. NATO is just off the table for Ukraine though. There’s no way Russia agrees to that and they will lose the lands Russia holds but they won’t have to worry about getting attacked again with a lot of western companies planning to invest in Ukraine. The manpower difference is going to keep getting wider and wider.

I don't really blame Zelensky for doing what he thinks is required to keep his vision of Ukraine alive, as misguided/miscalculated as it may be. I don't like him, but I'm sure at least some part of his motivation is noble/patriotic.
But at the same time, he's essentially demanding we pave the way for 5, 10, 20k additional deaths until he can perhaps get very slightly better resolution, and he's saying to avoid that and avoid spending our money on that effort, we have to guarantee Ukraine's security.
I mean, who could say no to that?
I do think it's amazing to watch our Ukraine-first dudes cheer Zelensky's Ukraine-at-all-costs approach while getting very uncomfortable whenever someone suggests that America is well within its rights to prefer its own citizens to others and tell other nations that they're not a priority for us.

ISW Update March 3 2025
quote:
Key Takeaways:
Ukrainian military intelligence indicated that about 620,000 Russian soldiers are operating in Ukraine and Kursk Oblast, an increase of about 40,000 personnel compared to late 2024.
Russian authorities reportedly exceeded their recruitment quotas in 2024 and January 2025, likely in part due to increased financial incentives for recruits and prison recruitment efforts that are unsustainable in the medium- to long-term.
Russian forces continue to innovate their strike packages and leverage larger numbers of Shahed and decoy drones in an attempt to penetrate Ukraine's air defense umbrella.
Russian missile production has reportedly not significantly increased, but Russian forces appear to be prioritizing production of missile and drone variants that are more effective against Ukrainian air defenses.
Ukrainian forces recently advanced near Pokrovsk, and Russian forces recently advanced near Velyka Novosilka and in Kursk Oblast.
The Kremlin continues to promote its "Time of Heroes" veterans' program as part of efforts to militarize the Russian government and society.

I never was for letting Ukraine in NATO.
But other than use nukes, what could Russia do about it now? They couldn’t beat Ukrsine down in three years. The sure couldn’t beat Ukraine.

Hasn't your dumbass been saying for 3 years that Russia is selling oil for a loss and the economy will crash any day now?
