I floated that idea this week.Good move on Zelensky’s part. He removed himself becoming part of the solution and not part of the problem.

American workers were "sold out" by Corporations and Capitalists getting so greedy that "making.a killing" was not enough, and they sought to destroy labor unions and collective bargaining (and I'm sure you're all big fans of those things these days).
Unless, as the article states, when you say "sold out" you mean a cultural/religious thing...

The relationship was always a bit strained because of History... then Kissinger exploited that to turn China away from the USSR.
They still do not really get along. But they have more in common with each other than with anyone else, so they are somewhat natural allies.

For those whose world view is limited to transactional economics, in negotiations figures are everything. But if you keep offering lower numbers, your opponent knows you're bluffing. Doubling down on your bet with a week's worth of angry insults isn't going to change his mind. In fact, it will just confirm to him that your hand - and you - are weak.
Right now, the Ukrainians have got the Trump team tied up in a war of attrition just as bad as the Russians. Trump has thrown everything he has at Kyiv and they haven't flinched. "That's all you got Donnie?"
The pressure on Trump to get this deal done is building to a peak. For those on the top floors of Manhattan, closing is everything. And at this point their boy Donnie is just shining shoes.
The world is full of arms manufacturers. If anyone thinks the top floors can't bypass Team Trump and purchase and ship weapons on their own, they have another think coming. With that kind of money and influence, the doors are always open.

The projections after the German polls have been closed 2.5hrs are confirming a solid win for Merz's Christian Democrats. That would be Chancellor Joachim-Friedrich Martin Josef "Send the Taurus Cruise Missiles to Ukraine" Merz.
Will anyone go into coallition with the Russians, I mean AfD? Certainly not Merz -

It’s not about matters of practicality, it’s about optics.
Russia and MAGA need some sort of “win” or scape goat for the invasion. The spin will pivot to the intent always being to get Zelensky, the Jewish nazi, to step down.
They will declare mission accomplished. MAGA will lap it up like water in dry dog food, and Russians will ignore it because they know “everybody lies”.
Zelensky will have to be sacrificed. He may even end up Clinton’d.
At the conclusion of the conflict, we probably won’t see the long-term ramifications for years. Europe is going to re-militarize and wean themselves off of American power projection.
Speculation of what comes after that is a fools errand and will be fraught with bias.
I hope it ends up with a stronger partner and less cost for the US, but I doubt that will be the outcome.

I don't know why you are flexing. The AfD got just about what they were projected to get: about 20%. They just about doubled their percentage.The CDU always led in the polls. No surprise that they won.
